Scores of people walked out of the speakers’ tent to three large metal tubs filled with water. While praise music played in the background, one conference-goer after another stepped in. Pastors then lowered them under the surface, welcoming them into their movement in the name of Jesus Christ. One woman wore a T-shirt that read “Army of God.”
Flynn warned the crowd that they were in the midst of a “spiritual war” and a “political war” and urged people to get involved.
ReAwaken America was launched by Flynn, a former White House national security adviser, and Oklahoma entrepreneur Clay Clark a few months after the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol failed to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Attendees and speakers still insist — against all evidence and dozens of court rulings — that Donald Trump rightfully won.

I became agnostic over two decades ago. It’s not that I can’t find aspects of the teachings of the prophets of the monotheistic religions to admire, or teachings of eastern religions either but worshiping flesh and blood people who despite what in some cases their followers insist weren’t mere flesh & blood but divine, or if not divine with a direct connection to “God” is something I can’t accept. Nor can I accept in our vast universe there’s some being out there watching over us. If I’m wrong and there is then God is something of an asshole given the powers he/she/it supposedly has yet permits so much pain and suffering!
I see (not directly, unlike Trump I know better than to stare directly at it!) the sun which provides the energy that creates and shapes life. I see the moon which in its influence of tides around the world “kneads” the oceans and rivers and creates life that we either consume or which is part of the food chain, as well as affects our atmosphere in ways that sustain life. If I worship anything its the sun and the moon. And the stars and the other gases and “debris” out there in space/the universe. All the elements that are the building blocks of the chemicals that turned into life on this earth (and surely on other celestial bodies) came from elsewhere. We humans, like other living things are literally made of stardust when you get right down to it. So if any religion makes sense to me I think it might be Wicca. Sadly, I’ve wanted to get together with people who practice Wicca but damn, they hold everyone at arm’s length. A lot more than that in fact. Oh well. At least I don’t worship fucked up false idols like Trump!
Don’t waste energy on hating these fools–any of them. You have better things to do and an actual life to live unlike these people up to and including flynn and any trump alive quite frankly.
