I guess the specter of Trump Tower being sold out from under her galvanized Melania Trump into talking to her lawyer. Of all the occurrences taking place in MAGAdonia and Trump world right now, this is the least surprising and the most anticipated story. This is from Page Six of the New York Post so take that for what it’s worth, but conceptually this story makes complete sense. Melania is purportedly renegotiating her pre-nuptial agreement with Donald Trump yet again, because of all of the judgments which have either come down or about to, to wit, the $5 million he’s ordered to pay to E. Jean Carroll and the potential of $250 million judgment that Letitia James is seeking being awarded. And that’s the tip of the iceberg.
Sources tell Page Six that Melania Trump has “quietly” renegotiated her prenuptial agreement with Donald Trump in advance of his potentially serving a second term in the White House.
An insider told us of the agreement between the couple who married in 2005, “Over the last year, Melania and her team have been quietly negotiating a new ‘postnup’ agreement between herself and Donald Trump.”
The source further said, “This is at least the third time Melania has renegotiated the terms of her martial agreement,” but the source added that it’s not because the former first lady is going anywhere.
I don’t think she wants to divorce him. I think she wants to wait until he’s dead and inherit his wealth. That’s always been my take on it.
“Melania is most concerned about maintaining and increasing a substantial trust for their son, Barron,” 17, the same source familiar with Melania, 53, told Page Six.
A different source told us of the new agreement, “I know that she wanted it to provide her with more money, and also — from what I understand — there’s a specific amount at minimum that Barron is supposed to obtain.”
Said our source, “Trump remains very rich, but with mounting legal bills and judgments,” the renegotiated prenup would “provide a more solid future” for Melania and their son should the couple split. […]
The book, [The Art Of Her Deal] which was said to be based on more than a hundred interviews, reported of Melania: “She wanted proof in writing that when it came to financial opportunities and inheritance, Barron would be treated as more of an equal to Trump’s oldest three children” — meaning Donald’s grown kids with Ivana Trump, Eric, Ivanka, and Don Jr.
That makes complete sense. This happens all the time in wealthy families when a new kid suddenly appears. You may recall reading about Al Pacino becoming a father again at the age of 81 and how his grown children reacted. The birth of their half-brother cost them about $10 million each. And you can look at it as it’s money they never earned, anyhow, or you can look at it the way they reportedly did, was that it was their money and now it’s going elsewhere. Oh, the travails of the rich and famous.
Let’s see if Melania accompanies Trump on the campaign trail and if so, what she says. My bet is that if she does, she will be armed with simple talking points like “fake news” and “witch hunt” and that will be that.
As Yoda would say: “Blinded by greed she is.” I’ve been saying she should have taken her money and real estate (a couple of condos and some beach house) and gotten as far out of Trump World as is possible. Like “Hotel California” a person can check out but they can never really leave. Anyway she’d have been set. Not filthy stinking rich but rich enough and enough that her “precious” Barron would get to go to the finest schools money (ill-gotten or not it’s still green and that’s all those ritzy private schools care about) can buy. It might not have been the ridiculously lavish lifestyle she’d envisioned but it would have been pretty goddamned comfortable. Far more than when she was a cheesy “model” doing sem-nudes and hoping to land a rich guy so she could be a trophy wife and collect on halfway decent prenup like so many do.
Now? Her greed might wind up with her getting a lot less than she’d have gotten from her first prenup with Trump! With his assets in receivership she’s going to be at the back of the line in collecting what’s owed to her. Legal bills trying to get her money will eat it up a huge chunk of whatever (if anything) she does finally collect and if Trump’s name remains on the ownership of any properties she’s supposed to get those are lost to her as well! At one time I might have felt sorry for Barron, but he’s old enough now that he’s probably already asked “Mom, why didn’t you just leave him? You’d have collected enough we’d be pretty rich.” He’s probably been taught by her to be as venal and greedy as she is however.

I had a very wealthy friend who’s uncle was even more wealthy, to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, maybe a half a billion and climbing. His uncle had two sons. His uncle was a humble guy who invented something that made him rich. His sons were worthless, and when he died, they fought with each other over splitting the money. I should have realized I was watching the republican party in action. Venal, selfish, greedy, shallow, and many other adjectives that describe the worse traits of humanity. I’ll take my lumps for suggesting Barron might turn out to be another Tiffany. Trophy Wife #2 Marla Maples worked so hard and for so long to steer Tiffany to a life at arm’s length from Trump World but in the end even though she was set for a good life and career Tiffany went for the easy money and a no-work job at the Trump Org. So her mom must be broken hearted all over again now that the state of NY is going to shut all that down.
As for Barron, yes it’s fair to accuse me of taking a cheap shot at a teen who is what, seventeen or eighteen? For maybe turning out like step-sister Tiffany? I’ll have to take my lumps. And part of me does realize given his parents and the environment he was raised in (nothing but P.O.S. adults for role models) unlike Tiffany he never had much of a chance. No cheap shot was taken. Merely the most likely scenario was presented. Melania has shown a distinct lack of caring for anything other than her own comfort with the exception of her son. This action taken by Melania is surely expected (as you said) and she’d be a piss-poor mother not to keep Barron from suffering Tiffany’s fate.

Barron is entitled to 13% or 1/5. There’s are ways around it: A living trust, selling assets to a favored offspring for a thousand or two,etc.
Had a class on estate planning for paralegal training. We both need wills so his siblings and their brats don’t try to take the house or my good jewelry. The Nieces From Hell and remaining sibling would try it.
