CPAC has been dubbed Donald Trump’s “personal MAGA Burning Man” making reference to the yearly art festival known for its over the top self expression and self indulgence. This year’s CPAC has been controversial since minute one, and even the very stage that the speakers stand on is the object of contention. Take a look.

Maybe it’s all just coincidence. Maybe it’s also just coincidence that Paul Gosar was spotted at the America First Political Action conference, which is a white nationalist convention, also taking place in Orlando at the same time as CPAC (my, how these coincidences do mount up) and which is headlined by former Rep. Steve King.

Gosar also spoke at CPAC, but where oh where are you getting Nazi/white supremacist connections to this year’s CPAC? What’s that you say? You’re tripping over them, there are so many?

If Nick Fuentes’ name is ringing a bell, it’s because he’s a veteran of many campaigns. He marched in the 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville and was at the Capitol with his supporters on January 6, at which time he took the podium and warned that “white people are done being bullied.”
Fuentes went on to praise the deadly riot as “awesome,” describing it as “light-hearted mischief.” He also mocked Gosar’s colleague, Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC), for needing a wheelchair, saying Cawthorn couldn’t “stand up” for his constituents.
We have quite a loverly bunch of crackpots in Florida this weekend. But then again, it may be all coincidence. Any statisticians here who want to calculate the odds?

Ummmm….NO JEWS spoke at CPAC…..none……the closest they came was Larry Kudlow who has converted from Judaism to Roman Catholic.
Also of note….of the 50 Republican Senators, NONE are Jewish, while there are 8 Jewish Democrats and 1 Jewish Independent in the Senate and of the 211 Republicans in the House, 2 are Jewish while 26 are Jewish Democrats…..so out of 261 Republicans in Congress, only 2 are Jewish.
Words can be manipulated and twisted into lies but numbers don’t lie. So I think it’s fair to assert that between Marjorie Green’s “Jewish space lazer”, universal condemnation of George Soros and the obvious use of a Nordic Rune that Nep-Nazis substitute for a swastika, Republicans have a glaring and obvious anti-semitic problem.
Before we can conclude nefarious intent, we must examine to what extent similar designs have been innocently used. For example, I could see myself designing a stage like that even though until this week I had never heard of any Nazi association with that shape. Personally I am not going to take the time to look for an answer to this question, but I bring it up because we should always be alert to what may be instances of confirmation bias.
My masters degree is in technical theater and scene design. I looked at that stage & felt the design was counterintuitive and redundant. I immediately saw two or three other ways that felt more natural and efficient. You had to go out of your way to design a clunky stage like that.
Anyone who begins their sentence with “my masters degree” demonstrates little credibility, if any, when you think it makes any difference to anyone or finds your opinion any more credible than anyone else’s as a result. While I believe this whole thing is utter lunacy, and when one cannot convey anything in an informed / experienced manner it means nothing! Just because you have a Master’s doesn’t make you an expert on anything!
