Both sides do it every year, Democratic and Republican, House and Senate. It’s called the Annual Caucus Issues Retreat. It’s held at a luxury resort, and the agenda is ambitions. Tiger team lock-its, inspirational speakers, closed door strategy sessions. Ah, bullsh*t. Basically it’s a three day food and booze up. Think of it as an annual stag party for old, horny dudes.

The GOP House Caucus Annual Issues Retreat officially started today. NDS already it isn’t going well. Only 100 caucus members showed up to check in. That’s not even 50% of the House GOP caucus. But here’s all you need to know about the comity and bonhomie of today’s GOP House caucus. A reporter asked an unidentified House member why he hadn’t attended? His answer will go down in infamy, Are you kidding? I’d rather sit down with Hannibal Lecter and eat my own liver for dinner!

The House GOP is in open civil war, and the GOP Senate isn’t far behind. Disgruntled GOP Representative Ken Buck jammed it up House Squeaker Mike Johnson’s ass with a broomstick when he suddenly announced that he will retire at the end of next week. This will allow for a special election in Colorado in mid to late May, potentially narrowing the GOP’s already fragile majority one more.

And the Senate isn’t much better off. At McConnell’s urging, one of the most conservative members of the GOP Senate, Oklahoma’s Jim Lankford successfully negotiated by far the most conservative immigration package in at least 30 years. McConnell himself urged wide GOP Senate support, saying If we don’t pass this bill right now, while the time is right, we’ll never see anything like it again. And then Emperor Numbus Nuttus I went to Bullsh*t Social and gave a resounding Thumbs down. And Lankford was left being recorded sitting in his seat at the SOTU, nostalgically nodding his head as President Biden extolled the virtues of his bill.

*Pop Quiz!* After his inauguration in January of 2017, what was the first thing that Traitor Tot did, after signing a bill that allowed mental defectives to buy AR-15’s? He went on a purge. He immediately scoured the GOP state chairmen, and even district chairmen who weren’t totally loyal MAGAt’s, and replaced them with reliable toadies. Then came 2018, 2020, and 2022. And where are we today?

  • The Michigan state GOP is stony flat broke, And the counties are equally broke because moderate GOP supporters weren’t interested in fundraising AR-15 raffles!
  • Minnesota’s GOP will literally sell you their registered name and website for less than a video game, as long as you pick up the $38,000 pf debt that goes with it.
  • The Wisconsin state GOP is so desperate for cash they even debased themselves by bringing in serial loser and all purpose nitwit Kari Lake in to do a series of fundraising appearances for them
  • Arizona’s GOP is so cash strapped that they’ve laid off paid staff, and are seriously considering bankruptcy
  • In Georgia the state party is in financial disarray, as well as having a good portion of their state GOP apparatchiks under indictment

Notice any similarities there? They are all serious or potential swing states, all were purged of professional operatives to install Trump loyalists, and now none of them are even going to be able to afford to fund state legislative candidates, much less than candidates for national office.

And on Friday El Pendejo Presidente finalized his takeover of the RNC. And the first thing he did was have his hand picked nimrods went on a purge of the RNC. The staff and senior levels are decimated, and Trump either fired state chairs, or told them to reapply for their jobs. Bit that’s just the start, and what comes next isn’t being reported much.

His Lowness has already had his Trumptards shut down any existing early voting outreach offices, as well as many of the local or district community outreach centers, specifically created to increase the GOP base in the districts or state. And all of the savings from those closures was retargeted to more Trumpcentric opportunities. In other words Trump’s legal defense fund is about to get a boost.

All the wheels are falling off, all at once. Just look at the current dynamics. At this moment more than half of the GOP House caucus won’t even drink with the other half. In the Senate, the McConnell wing of the GOP is furious with the Trumptards for f*cking up a once in a lifetime immigration deal. And nobody is going to be getting any freakin’ money!!!

McConnell thought that he had scored a major coup when he traded Diaper Donnie the congenital retard Kari Lake for a free hand with the rest of the GOP Senate field. The AZ seat is already Democratic, he could afford to trade that for qualified candidates in critical swing states like NC, GA, MI, WI, OH and MT. They only need to flip two to retake the Senate. The primaries will show how successful McConnell was in recruiting top shelf talent in a year when The Cheeto Prophet is going to top the ticket.

But even if he gets his dream team, what good does it do him? Skeletor Rick Scott from Florida drained the NRSC’s coffers trying to prop up idjits like Herschel Walker and Mehmet Oz while better positioned candidates languished on the vine. And now Loopy Lara, the only person on the planet capable of making Ronna Romney McDaniel look qualified to be RNC Chair, is going to pressure all big money donations to go to the RNC, and you can bet your ass nothing is going to get siphoned to the NRSC or the congressional arm.

This is turning into a gobsmack mosh pit. You have GOP House members who won’t even talk to each other, and thank God that Pelosi banned guns from the House floor. The Senate is busy cold shouldering each other, and nobody is going to get any money. And as Ken Buck has already shown, sane moderate members aren’t going to be shy about getting their pound of flesh from the MAGAt’s on the way out the door.

I had originally had the feeling that the Democrats would flip the House by a comfortable margin in 2024, but lose the Senate by a single seat. But now, with Trump’s blatant takeover of the RNC, and his obvious intention to turn it into a bust out joint, I don’t see how any of the GOP Senate challengers are going to be able to mount an effectively financed campaign, much less the handful of vulnerable GOP Senate incumbents. I’m seriously starting to think that the Democrats may actually gain a seat or two in the Senate. Money make the world go around, and in today’s GOP only His Lowness gets the money. Don’t touch that dial.

I thank you for the privilege of your time.

  1. By the way….Lauren Boebert can’t run in the special election. She’s still in the district 03 seat. Mike Johnson isn’t the only one caught off guard. Well played! 🤣

    • Well, she COULD have run in the special election; however, she’d have to resign the CO-03 seat (leading to ANOTHER special election, for that district) and she’d have NO chance to run for “re-election” as the CO-04 incumbent as the PRIMARY for the district is also being held the same day as the special election. Basically, whoever wins the special election is acting merely as a placeholder until January–or, technically, November (whoever wins the special election can resign after the November vote is certified, allowing the general election winner to take office early).

  2. GOOD ARTICLE, ITS A SHAME YOUR IGNORANCE HAS YOU USING THE “R” WORK. MAYBE NEXT TIME THE ” N” WORD WILL BE YOUR GO TO. STOP USING IGNORANT BIGOTED WORDS MAN, IT SHOWS A SIGN OF UNINTELLIGENCE AND THAT JUST TAKES AWAY FROM A WELL MEANING ARTICLE. BE ARTICULATE, NOT IGNORANT MAN!

      • Exactly. As of this writing, Michael McGuire’s comment has received 13 down votes. But as for me, I don’t have the faintest idea what he’s even trying to say.

    • I *think* what Michael was referring to was the word that Murf used between “congenital” and “Kari Lake.” It IS a slur when used that way; obviously, the verb usage has a purpose but when used as an adjective or a noun in reference to a person, the mentally challenged and their advocates have urged the word be dropped.

My issue with Michael’s comment is not knowing when to shut off the CAPS LOCK key.

  3. So the manipulative and gaslighting destructively parasitic malodorous mango thinks he has got his way. More likely he’s blinded and drunk from the vengeful strategy of is Dunning Kruger game play. He’ll eventually and incompetently hook himself to one of his strategically placed trebuchet edicts, and, then, spectacularly face-plant, after he stupidly hoisted himself onto his own petard – skint of any resources to help save his narcissist delusional arse, because his various grifted reserves finally ran dry. He’ll come to experience watching reruns, of his ‘use-by-dated’ incompetent manipulative gaslighting, in a legally enforceable and secure echo chamber.

  4. Former guy is going to empty the R piggy-bank. That the r’s did not see this coming indicates they are the stupidest mofo’s on the planet and best of all-they can only blame themselves. ROTFLMAO!

  5. My greatest concern is what these dotards are going to do post-November voting day this year.

They don’t have money for down-ballot candidates. They could, would, should lose all three branches of govt.

In the face of overwhelming voting numbers against them, what are they going to do? Tons of riots? Can’t see that ‘cuz NumbNuts supporters don’t show up to cheer him at his courthouse appearances.

widdle Steveie Miller and Mr. LaCivita have something up their sleeves. Moses Mike and Roger Stone are not sleeping either.

    What could it be?

As Rachael Maddow says, “Watch what they do, not what they say.”

  6. IDK everything, but I know this, the SUPER rich have already helped Trump w/his Civil Trial money. Who’s going to STOP the DARK money flowing to Trump in the rest of his Trials?? This is my concern! Am I wrong on this?

  7. I have said this before but I think it goes with murfs point. Abbott in Texas just spent millions to attack moderate Republicons. tony Gonzalez is in a runoff because of all the attack ads run by right wing groups. if he goes down his district will be a pick up opportunity for dems
