We know that MAGA is a cult. This is not new information. And we joke about them drinking the kool-aide, ala Jim Jones and Jonestown. But you’re not going to laugh when you see this video and realize, first hand, that these people probably would drink the kool-aide. I don’t pretend to understand a cult mentality. But whether we understand it or not, we are looking at it right here and now. And it is frightening. Or, alternatively, it’s paid actors because we know that’s how Trump rolls. This nightmare started with paid extras when he came down the escalator of Trump Tower nine years ago.

This is reading tea leaves, admittedly. The Bulwark is also reading tea leaves about a possible hung juror.
But there is one clear hope MAGAville clings to: a hung jury that results in a mistrial.
If that happens, Trump allies suspect that it will be chiefly due to the one juror who has made friendly eye contact with Trump from time to time as the jury enters the room and walks right past the defense table.
“There are eight people on that jury who definitely hate Trump. If there’s one person who doesn’t, it’s [this] juror,” said one court attendee who, like others for this story, relayed their observations on condition of anonymity to The Bulwark, which is also protecting the privacy and safety of the juror in question by not disclosing identifying details.
As the trial has progressed since April 15, these sources relate, this juror has appeared to nod along in seeming accordance with the defense at times. On other occasions, the juror has seemingly reacted favorably to and made eye contact with Trump’s congressional surrogates who began joining him in court in recent weeks.
But even Trump’s most ardent allies acknowledge they’re speculating at best—trying to read tea leaves. A juror or jurors making friendly eye contact might simply be displaying good manners in court irrespective of how they are seriously weighing the evidence and considering their verdict.
“You just never know what people are thinking or what they’re gonna do,” said one Trump insider. “Yeah, the [juror] looks friendly. But maybe [the juror is] just doing that to fuck with us before they vote to convict.”
Anything is possible. This trial is unique. We can only pray for the best and hope that Trump is convicted. He will be if this is an honest jury and they’re making a decision based on the evidence.
There’s not many of them.
Even actors in numbers aren’t cheap.
I’m not saying these morons can’t be paid actors-yeah, it’s possible. Fact is tho’ they’re just not bright, they are racist/bigoted/misogynist/etc. as hell, and the guy they thought was going to put p.o.c., LGBTQ+, women, etc. in their place has been caught breaking the law. If this trial goes south for Von Shitz I suspect the fools are scared to death what GA and then the documents case will do to him. I think if he’s found guilty in this trial, he’ll be fined. I doubt prison is realistically on the table. The other two? Oh hell yeah prison is definitely on the table. The document case might be treason f.f.s. and that is not only going to put Von Shitz’s ass in the slammer, a lot of other ‘pube pols, a s.c. justice’s wife, wealthy scofflaws, and who knows who else will be joining him.
Yeah, they’re stupid but it doesn’t take much brain power to figure that shit out.
They were all paid – I didn’t see an actual tear, their faces weren’t wet. The one woman dabbing at her dry eyes was so obviously posing. Notice they were all NOT white? That convinces me even more that they were paid to be there.

You DO understand that a lot of Southerners also happen to be members of Pentecostal and “Holy Roller” churches where “speaking in tongues” is not only accepted but is considered a matter of pride among the members?
Then again, if they didn’t have problems with seeing Tim Scott and other minorities and even “foreigners” appearing side-by-side with their Glorious Leader, what makes you think they’ll have a problem with any of the folks in the video?
They’ll still believe they’re “better” than all those folks–and won’t shed a tear when they’re rounded up and deported or whatever–but as long as they’re cheering for Glorious Leader, they’ll accept them (much the same way the feminist movement did in accepting the likes of Jerry Falwell and Phyllis Schlafly because they all agreed that “porn is bad for women”; the feminists got their short-term win by making things more difficult for the porn industry but then were rewarded by being described as “lesbians” and, of course, Rush’s favorite term “Feminazis”). Once these folks have been “used,” they’ll be on the sacrificial heap with all the “other” enemies.
