America gets progressively more insane day by day. We had a few moments to breathe a sigh of relief when the latest three-name miscreant in our culture crawled out of his truck on hands and knees and into police custody after threatening to blow up two city blocks in the nation’s capitol with his truck/bomb. At that moment, it was understood that he was lying about four other truck bombs in the area and that claim is still being investigated. But over in MAGA world, where they live according to a different set of facts and rules altogether. a translation of the morning’s events was being made. Yes, you guessed it, fake news. False flag fake news, to be precise.
The cultural divide is beyond anything. There is an obtuseness and a rancor in this day and and age that I have never seen before and that’s because it’s never been this way before — in my lifetime. From the experience of reading history books that contain diaries of people living during the Civil War era, this kind of dissention existed, brother against brother, neighbor against neighbor at that time. It was understandable then, because the big issue of this country, the one that had been swept under the rug since the founding of the nation, slavery, was coming to a head. And apparently we’re in the last battle of the Civil War and systemic racism is coming to a head — although not solely. Along with it is a caravan of issues, the pandemic, the Big Lie, refugeeism, and it’s all fueled by a deranged devotion to guns and firepower. That was seen this morning, once again.
This last commenter is spot on. We have had differences of opinion in this country since square one. That’s fine. That’s healthy. This is the first time that people are in mass dissent over the basic facts. That is unhealthy and destructive. Facts are immutable things. They simply are. And a culture like ours, that literally has two dual narratives of reality playing simultaneously on different broadcast channels and social and print media outlets is nuts. It is stark raving nuts.
We see people dying every single day from COVID-19 because they “believed” the narrative that the coronavirus was a hoax, vaccination a government plot to control you by implanting transistor chips that would hook you up to 5G towers, any manner of madness you can conceive has been reported, with respect to the virus.
Just today, a Republican strategist and husband of a state senator running for the U.S. House of Representatives died. He believed the folly of the anti-vaxxers and it killed him. He’s gone.

I don’t presume to speak for Jesus, but I think it’s reasonable to assume He would have preferred this guy get the vaccine and continue with his life rather than die because he listened to right-wing media spew conspiracy theory.
Every single day these stories are in the news. They are all the same. The proud genius anti-vaxxer ends up with a ventilator down his or her throat and after a while they realize that they bet on the wrong horse. But even though these stories are legion, apparently the only people reading them are the ones who don’t need to.
We live in dangerous times. Interesting ones, perhaps, but very dangerous. Before this man died, who knows how many people he exposed to the virus because they, too, thought it all an imaginary foe? The moral of this story is what you don’t know can kill you. And if it doesn’t kill you, it can land you in a lot of hot water. I’m sure that Floyd Ray Roseberry is rethinking his life choices right now. Blowing up, or threatening to blow up, government building is never a good idea. Life is not a TV show except to the reality Tv actor who’s not in office anymore.
Our government has locked up 2.2 million people for what? Bcuz they are a threat to public safety? How are the pot smokers a danger? Yet, these people run around thinking they have the right to spread a deadly virus that has killed more people in 18months than soldiers lost in ww2 & all the wars since. Over a hundred ELECTED congress members support the violent overthrow of our elected government. How are they not in jail? Hypocrisy. Our national golden calf. No wonder we are where we are. The law is just a tool for the rich to enrich themselves & to control the rest of us. No? Prove it.
Stupid is the new normal and delusional stupidity is rapidly becoming the new norm. The Internet has made it possible for idiots to make money on their stupidity and yell to the rest of us, “Look at me, I am a complete fucking idiot, devoid of values or conscience, look at me.” The surety with which people act this way is appalling. They know they are right. And the division plays into the hands of the rich. They don’t have to pay for the chaos and stupidity like they have done in the past. I love antivaxxers for they are eliminating themselves from the gene pool. I do not, however, appreciate there attempt to take me with them.

I think the voices in their own heads are so loud that they cannot hear themselves. There is a madness common to mass culture that we all know about, the larger an assembled group, the lower the intelligence of the assembled group. And the crazier the members get. When this is pushed by the average, nut job lying piece of excrement Republican they come to believe what they are doing, no matter how fucking crazy it is.
Now that we are seeing a lot of the cult members who were spreading the antivaxx BS dying of Covid, when I hear of another one, I hear the Qween song “Another One Bites The Dust” in my head! The only bad thing about them dying is that they will infect innocent kids before they go! I have never had much tolerance for those who choose not to think or that choose to be ignorant. Now I have none.
The stupid idea that this was an FBI action, is totally bizarre and wrong … first, all agents train in places that are structured like movie sets, with their trainers following their every move, they use pop-up targets and other methods to help them learn correct actions and good judgement … the same would be true with a bomb threat, working with Swat teams and troops and Marshals when needed …
To endanger any neighborhood with the kind of actions seen around this incident, chases, guns drawn, surrender and arrest, would be totally against policies and the rules; as a stunt for what? The actions would place innocent citizens in dangers from uncontrolled traffic, hot shot locals using poor judgement and deciding to, “Help”, with their own firearms … it is ignorance of any common sense — a concerted effort by Republicans, with fear of losing power and perks, to attack Biden at every moment they get to a mic with their crap messages …
