Just another post from Crazyland. Donald Trump went to New Hampshire recently and of course he went out and about to glad hang his MAGA supporters. One of them was Mikki Larson-Olson who believes that Mike Pence is a traitor and wants to see him die. Lovely people, the MAGAs. NBC News:
“The punishment for treason is death, per the Constitution,” Larson-Olson said. “I believe every single person, every single person that stole a voice from our collective voice of ‘We the people, of the people, for the people, by the people,’ deserves death, and no less than that.”
Larson-Olson added that she “would like a front seat of Mike Pence being executed” and that he should be the “No. 1” person on her list of those who committed treason. […]
Larson-Olson was introduced to Trump as a “Jan. 6er,” and he signed the backpack that she said she was carrying with her that day and waived her past security so he could embrace her. “Listen, you just hang in there,” Trump said, calling her a “terrific woman” and kissing her on the cheek. Trump said it was “so bad” what has been done to Jan. 6 “patriots.”
“If I were to imagine what it would be like to hug Jesus Christ — not that I’m saying President Trump is Jesus Christ — but, just, you know, if I was to imagine what it would be like to hug Jesus Christ, that’s what it felt like for me,” Larson-Olson said. “It was so personal and intimate.”
Larson-Olson said that she got out of prison last month after serving more than 160 days and that she was often placed in more restrictive confinement because of her refusal to comply with Covid protocols. She said she’d do it all over again because she believes that Trump is the true president.
I wonder how long we can hang onto this republic when 35% to 40% of the people in it believe in fairy tales and you cannot dissuade them? Seriously. I wonder how long we can continue in this mode.
Hugging Traitor Tot (YUCK!)would be more like embracing Satan! And Traitor Tot is the one who needs to be executed for treason (after his trial and inevitable conviction). There is no question that Traitor Tot and anyone who took part in the Jan 6 insurrection are all traitors and need to be tried, convicted, and executed!

It’s not their gender or frumpy’s uh personal equipment that is the problem. It’s their complete lack of moral conscience and character that are the real issues. Add in the destruction of public education by underfunded classrooms that have become killing fields, along with the funding of ‘homeschools’, which are not a substitution for a good education, and often are an excuse to teach intolerance, and you produce shallow, entitled, racist, faux religious, cult members. There’s a reason the Guns Over People party want everyone scared and stupid. We’re living it.

Actually, he wasn’t a man. He wasn’t a real person. Saul of tarsus was the person who invented Jesus. He saw him in a ‘vision’. Saul said that Jesus died 75 years before his vision. Saul’s description of Jesus is clearly a non-human. Not only that, his description of Jesus is an EXACT description of Zeus. Zeus was born to a refugee virgin mother who was traveling w/ a male escort. Zeus was born on Dec 25….in a manger. 3 important men followed a bright star to give Zeus -you guessed it -gold, frankincense & myrrh. In fact, most religions in the Mediterranean at this time all had leaders that had these similar characters. I think if someone finds solace in Jesus or uses him as a guide for their life, that’s terrific. I’m an atheist myself, a persons religion is none of my business so long as they don’t try to force it on me. So I’m quite annoyed when so-called xtains make laws based on their ‘religion’. But these MAGAts are NOT practicing any sort of xtianity that I’m familiar with. Their Jesus is a white gun nut who proudly flouts the law, is willfully ignorant, untethered from reality, thinks it’s fine to impose his beliefs on others but throws himself on the floor in a tantrum if anyone else has a different take. Their Jesus thinks homelessness is a crime and kicks dirt in the eyes of the least of his brothers. In my book, they aren’t xtians. They are assholes using cherry picked bits religious doctrine to rationalize their bigotry.

Ivanhoe…I don’t disagree with your analysis of the level of scholarship or devotion to the gospels the modern ‘christians’ operate under. However, I find people who summarily reject historical issues & the beliefs that have been codified down through the centuries, without having seriously read or studied the texts, etc. we do have, to be the pendulum swinging from ignorance to ignorance. Besides the Gospels, there are two Roman historians that recorded Jesus’ actual existence, Josephus and Tacitus, both having lived shortly after the time of Jesus. Tacitus referred to his execution by Pontius Pilate, and the existence of early believers in Rome. He did so in his work, Annals, written ca.AD 116, book 15, chapter 44. The theory that Jesus was a created myth, is considered a fringe theory, as is the theory that American believers are voting for those who follow Jesus’ commandments. By the way spike, modern day Christianity was originally a Jewish sect, and ALL the early believers were Jews, as was Jesus. It wasn’t a ‘gentile’ religion until a pharasee named Saul fell off that donkey and was blinded for three days according to the gospels. When it became the state religion of Rome, some three hundred years later, it really went off the rails. All scholars know how limited and mixed are all accounts of the historical events thousands of years ago. Most people were illiterate, and until Guttenberg invented the printing press, mass media didn’t exist. Things went from oral tradition then depended on the learned to write down and copy things by hand by oil lamp. Politics and agendas influenced what was passed along, just like now. Either way, the golden rule to love your neighbor as yourself exist in all recorded religions, including Islam. I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone claims to believe if they would just follow that lodestar. Oh, and vote accordingly.
