[My apologies: Judge Tanya Chutkan was the object of the hostile, threatening MAGA phone call, along with the Georgia grand jury participants being doxed. My bad for putting Fani Willis’ name in the story when it should have been Tanya Chutkan’s.]

************************

This is as predictable as the night following the day. Donald Trump spends all his time on Truth Social screaming WITCH HUNT! and kvetching about how persecuted he is by the evil Democrats, the Deep State, all of it. So naturally, not only have members of the Fulton County grand jury been doxed online and threatened, of course Judge Tanya Chutkan has as well. You don’t have to be Nostradamus to have seen this one coming.

Ryan Reilly is with NBC News and filed this story earlier Wednesday.

ATLANTA — The purported names and addresses of members of the grand jury that indicted Donald Trump and 18 of his co-defendants on state racketeering charges this week have been posted on a fringe website that often features violent rhetoric, NBC News has learned.

NBC News is choosing not to name the website featuring the addresses to avoid further spreading the information.

The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office declined to comment. District Attorney Fani Willis faced racist threats ahead of the return of the indictment, and additional security measures were put in place, with some employees being allowed to work from home.

The grand jurors’ purported addresses were spotted by Advance Democracy, a nonpartisan research group founded by Daniel J. Jones, a former FBI investigator and staffer for the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee.

“It’s becoming all too commonplace to see everyday citizens performing necessary functions for our democracy being targeted with violent threats by Trump-supporting extremists,” Jones said. “The lack of political leadership on the right to denounce these threats — which serve to inspire real-world political violence — is shameful.”

This is a problem which needs immediate attention. People can’t be intimidated from serving on grand juries. This is what Thug Trump hath wrought.

Absolutely somebody is going to get hurt.

I admire Fani Willis and I admire the men and women who served on the grand jury(s) and who got us this far along towards saving our republic, and certainly I admire Judge Chutkan and Jack Smith and their efforts. What a tragedy that they have to fear for their safety.

Help keep the site running, consider supporting.

  1. Unfortunately, the Grand Juror’s names were listed on the indictment…….as you know, it’s not hard to fill in the blanks after that.

  2. That site NEEDS to be shut down AT ONCE. The First Amendment does NOT cover such crap. And remember all the whining from our poor defenseless little right-wing SCOTUS justices who had protestors outside their homes and the dining establishments they patronized following the “leak” about Dobbs? They–and their right-wing allies/enablers–were all out for the protestors to be arrested for “harassment.” But when THEIR side literally calls for blood (anyone else remember anti-abortion websites being granted the right to publicize abortion providers’ addresses, even after some providers had been killed by people who got their addresses from the sites?), suddenly they play the Three “No Evil” Monkeys and “freedom of speech” becomes so important, regardless of the cost.

  3. Newsflash to all you entitled, immature, ignorant racists, in case you either forgot, never learned, or have willfully ignored the history of African Americans in this culture. They were kidnapped starting in 1619 and were forced into slavery. From that point on, they have been killed, hunted, raped, whipped, sold, and discriminated against, by a system put into place and maintained by people LIKE YOU. A system that continues to this day. You are so full of yourselves, you actually believe they are easily intimidated. You could not be more wrong. It’s YOU mutherphuckers who are scared. FACT. By the way arsehole…measure your closet and see if you want to spend the rest of your sorry arse in a concrete box that size if you step out of line. Cowards. Also a fact.

  4. I do not know what DOJ is doing, but if they’re not getting these pieces of sh*t picked up and thrown into a cell, they are not doing their jobs. It isn’t as if they cannot track this scum down which is why you shouldn’t be saying stupid sh*t on s.m.

Merrick has been sitting on his thumbs for way too long. He’d better get off of them and do something constructive.

  5. Leave it to Spike to use any occasion to insult AG Garland.

    My take in this is:

    1) Mr. Garland let the J6 Committee hearings run their course before delivering any indictments so that the facts were put before the American people. That would have been broadcasted in court proceedings as few are broadcast and fewer watch. (To be continued).

  6. 2) The justice Department, especially the FBI and Secret Service have always been larded with wingers, but it got way worse with Trump’s revolving cast of MAGA attorneys general. How could Garland be assured that investigations would be thorough and secret in that environment? So

  7. 3) AG Garland brought on Independent Special Counselor Jack Smith to run the investigations. He successfully prosecuted war criminals and world leaders at The Hague. He’s more than qualified to prosecute Trump.

Garland has moved more slowly than many of us would have have liked, but his actions and well thought out decisions show that he’s the right person for the job.
