Pardon the slight mangling of the original statement. It’s that we don’t know Lindsey Graham anymore. It’s really sad that we don’t. He’s changed so much. He’s almost as bad as Speaker Johnson with the slobbering sycophantic desire to please Trump. He’s swung so far to the right that he’s halfway out into the solar system. Yes, he did it to himself, but it’s still painful to see. Graham is reduced to this behavior. Damn. My compliments to Raw Story:
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was ridiculed on Thursday after he suggested that the Nobel Peace Prize be renamed the Trump Prize after President Donald Trump, according to reports. Graham shared the idea on Fox News during a Wednesday night episode of “Hannity.”
Oh, Lindsey. This is … stupid. Ridiculous. He’s constantly doing things that make him look pathetic, yet hopeful to get whatever scraps Trump throws his way. He comes up with unworkable ideas, and this is just the latest. We can’t forget him wandering around Disney World with a bubble blower that looked like a princess scepter. And he looked *horrible*. He looked like he had been on a three-day bender and had not taken time to recover. Hasn’t he noticed that other senators are pushing back and open his eyes to the reality of Trump? So far, there are no signs of life on that.
Trump hasn’t been shy about his desire to win the famed international prize. He’s never been awarded it, but he frequently has claimed he deserves it and has been critical of the selection process, particularly when the award was given to other recipients. In 2025, he said, “I deserve it, but they will never give it to me,” during an Oval Office press conference, according to The Independent.
Damn right they won’t give it to him, especially not after the debacle of the illegal Iran War. No matter what Lindsey Graham tries, Trump is not ever going to get one, and he will never deserve one. They certainly won’t rename it after Trump. It’s the Nobel Peace Prize. Finish. End of statement. No changes needed, because that is not what the Nobel prizes are about. They reward dedication and results. They don’t reward a sociopathic, whining, aging, two-year-old, such as Trump.
The internet was quick to call Graham out for his comments. //// “Girl, stop. You’re humiliating yourself,” writer and producer Andy Ostroy, who has more than 90,000 followers, wrote on X. //// “Further proof they’re in a cult,” writer and scholar Dr. Allison Wiltz, who has more than 71,000 followers, wrote on X. //// “There’s really not much to say about Lindsey anymore. He is just a sad, pathetic little man,” Veterans For Responsible Leadership, a pro-democracy veterans organization with nearly 30,000 followers, wrote on X.
It’s really sad. We lost the real Lindsey Graham and have this ridiculous, embarrassing replacement. He’s pitiful. He’s … … there are no words for it. Why is he debasing himself this way? Why can’t he see that he does not have to be like this? He’s going to keep spouting juvenile ideas in hopes of pleasing Trump. He doesn’t or won’t see that Trump cares for no one but himself. Lindsey Graham needs to either get his spine back or retire. The way he is now is heartbreaking. ETTD.
See you soon!
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
