Tsk, tsk. She’s been busted for a lie. DHS, specifically ICE, is doing something that she and Trump swear up one side and down the other isn’t happening. We’ve found out. Now it makes even less sense for all the terrorizing ICE/CBP is doing. This isn’t just the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. They’re not even attached to the same *body*. President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem have repeatedly bragged that the Trump administration is allowing “zero” unauthorized immigrants to cross the border into the United States. But a new scoop from the conservative Washington Examiner reveals that’s not true — and some immigrants are indeed being released into the country after being apprehended.
“Although the number of border crossers let into the interior of the country is significantly smaller than it was during the Biden administration, that some illegal immigrants have been released into the U.S. at all appears to contradict President Donald Trump’s claim during the State of the Union address, as well as numerous statements by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, that no one had been let in since early last summer,” reported Anna Giaritelli.
BUSTED. Hot damn! Caught in the act, so to speak. They’re not letting anyone in unless they pay a million bucks. WRONG. People are crossing the border, and it isn’t just the ones who sneak in. Some are released into the US. More on that momentarily. We have to grin that they have been caught in yet another lie. They should take notes so they know what NOT to say the next time. Heh. Not happening.
Under federal law, Border Patrol can only hold detainees for up to 72 hours, after which they must be handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for further action. The issue is that ICE is, in fact, then releasing an unspecified number of people that Border Patrol turns over to them, according to the report.
According to one person who texted the Examiner, “Dirty little secret that the [Trump administration] does not want getting out for obvious reasons. There are, in fact, folks who are being released who recently crossed the border. … [Border Patrol] is not releasing anyone, but ICE is.”
Now isn’t that interesting? They *are* letting “illegals” in. But they’re also trying to throw them out. What’s wrong with this picture? Terrorizing people with random bullsh!t, yet they are also doing the opposite. How many people have been abused by ICE? How many people have been shot that we don’t know about? Was this all a publicity stunt? It’s certainly looking like it. Well, a stunt, and letting the hoodlums have free rein to do whatever they want. We’re seeing what happens when all the new people hired by ICE aren’t properly screened and trained. It’s a disaster. And it’s cruel.
For years prior to the Trump administration, ICE has placed low-risk detainees in “Alternatives to Detention,” where they essentially are released into the local community with a court date and must check in with authorities. It has been proven to work, but Trump has long attacked the idea.
Despite this, per the report, Alternatives to Detention continue to be used. This revelation comes amid other damning reporting about Noem, including that she buried an inspector general report on a security flaw in her highly-touted airport security reforms.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. They really do need to be taking notes. Oh, wait, Trump doesn’t read, and he wouldn’t remember it anyhow. As to whether or not Krispi does, well, that’s unknown and debatable. We know she shoots puppies, lies, and is a prima donna in the worst ways, and has no clue how to handle a weapon when she’s with ICE. A shotgun is easy. A rifle is not. She digs herself deeper into a hole every time she talks. She really is clueless, just like her boss. ‘nuff said.

Well, with Miller hounding them to deport 3k people a day (they’ve never come close even once) how about this? ICE takes them somewhere with enough of a presence to monitor them. Set a quick initial appointment with some local immigration office where ICE will be waiting to arrest them and deport them! Or if they want some “action” bust down a door or make a point of an ugly public arrest.
Yes, it’s not only stupid but quite wasteful of staff time and resources but with that infusion of 75 billion last summer they’ve got money to burn. Their funding lest we forget now exceeds that of the FBI (far larger and with more complex duties) by tens of billions of dollars.
3,000 people a day is damn near impossible. And the ‘double jeopardy” of being ‘caught’ TWICE is nonsense. We’ve seen the action part and it’s very ugly. But they can do what they want so we fight back the best we can.
All that funding going to DHS pissed me off more than I have words to properly express. Look at what those 10,000 new agents got them. Look at what they got *us*. This is bullshit.
