He really thought he could get away with it. He figured since he’s the director, no one would say anything about it. He was completely wrong, and it has come back to haunt him. His feet are *in* the fire. We saw this coming because the entire maladministration is useless! So, so glad he is being busted for his personal actions. My regards to Raw Story:
FBI Director Kash Patel should not expect Donald Trump to come to his rescue as the GOP leadership turns up the heat looking into his expenditures, according to a new analysis. Patel’s life of luxury caught the eye of Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), and now the controversial Trump appointee is under the gun, Hayes Brown wrote for MS NOW Friday.

Now, how could the Senate miss this when it’s been all over independent news, at the very least? We, being independent media, often catch something and report it to our readers as best we can. But seriously, how did they miss this for so long? It’s been out there in front of everyone. Oh. Wait. Senator Grassley is a Republican. He’s probably been told to support Trump and the ‘administration’. But there comes a time when it can’t be ignored any longer.
“Grassley’s interest in the director living it up doesn’t spell Patel’s immediate downfall,” Brown wrote. “It does, however, open the door to the kind of scrutiny he’s managed to avoid from Republicans despite multiple screwups. He’s repeatedly jumped the gun posting about active cases on social media and had to walk back his comments. Patel has also failed to transform the so-called grand conspiracy case — which would tie together multiple strands of anti-Trump Deep State conspiracies — into the arrests and prosecutions Trump craves.”
Oh, yes, that ridiculous conspiracy theory. Trump is going to harp on that and a rigged election to the end of his days. There are certain things he simply will not, could not, admit. It’s old now. Trump is old. Kra$h gets to handle this all on his own, and you know there are going to be some hard, pointed questions he will have to answer. He’s going to have a really hard time justifying himself. We’d love for him to explain the trip overseas for the Olympics. It was never actually said, but did he take the FBI jet and use his privileges to get a seat to watch the hockey team win gold and then get back into the locker area? Or using the jet just to go see his girlfriend wherever she lives? We could give Senator Grassley *quite* a list of questions to ask. A pity that we can’t do it.
The spending scrutiny may prove more consequential than operational failures, argued Brown. As media commentator Philip Bump observed, Patel has become vulnerable to any Republican objecting to what observers characterize as an “influencer-worthy lifestyle.” To that Brown added, “If Patel thinks that anything less than total cooperation with Grassley and other Republicans who have questions for him is a good idea, he’s even more of a fool than he already seemed.
Trump has proved time and again that no amount of previous loyalty can make him stick his own neck out to protect his inner circle.” “If Patel tries to test this for himself, he runs the risk of becoming a lightning rod, drawing down the wrath of every frustrated Republican who knows it’s much easier to savage the people around Trump than to aim at the president himself,” he concluded.
Got that right! Trump will save his own skin first and then might consider someone else if it doesn’t put him in further danger. Kra$h is on his own. He fails or succeeds by himself. No one is going to ride the white horse charger in to help him. The scrutiny is going to be intense. As we’ve seen, he doesn’t do well under pressure, not at all. He’s going to either melt or explode. Gotta hope that this will be televised so we can watch him sweat. I’ll get the popcorn.
