This is well played on Joe Biden’s part. Good for him. This shows what a fundamentally decent human being and straight up kind of a guy he is. I’m proud that he’s our candidate.
NEWS: @JoeBiden is taking down his negative ads, going all-positive, per source familiar.
Decision was made *before* WH put out word Trump was going to Walter Reed

This cannot be a partisan moment.
It must be an American moment.
We have to come together as a nation.

Biden is still on the campaign trail, but that could change. This scenario with Trump has gone into high drama mode in just sixteen hours. It’s doubtful that Biden has any better sources of information than the rest of us do, and Trump world will hang onto power and lie no matter what happens.
As much as I hate Donald Trump, I want him to live. I want him to live until November 3 and see how America has rejected him. I hope that satisfaction doesn’t get taken from us.
He did walk on his own two feet to Marine One.

That was doubtlessly staged in order to minimize the gravity of the situation. One thing is certain: all we can do is watch and play this by ear. That is all the Biden campaign is doing as well.

Yes, Joe is classy. I wonder what *rump would have done.
I don’t wonder.
We already know what Agolf Twitler would have done. He showed us:
Mock, degrade, and make fun of a person and their illness – like when he imitated Hillary stumbling and falling when she was ill with pneumonia on October 2, 2016, EXACTLY 4 YEARS AGO. Karma’s a bitch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT-LfVlTE94
The campaign sent out a letter attacking Biden, Harris, and Obama.
Good for Uncle Joe. That’s what he should have done. He needs to leave the meanness to the rest of us.
Correct move.
Joe has a lot more class than I do. Same for Kamala. As for his walk to the chopper I wonder if Don Jr. was around to offer up a “line” to snort to amp him up for the walk. Or if the delay was waiting for an orally taken amphetamine to kick in. I watched him using the handles on the stairs to Marine One, and that tap on the right rail once he got to the top almost seemed like a “Whew! I made it!” type of thing. Ten bucks says he damn near collapsed in his seat. And at the hospital he took a much shorter walk to a vehicle to take him to the entrance! Like you (and I’ve said it elsewhere) I hope he survives and is in what for him would be okay health before election day. Because I WANT him to suffer the humiliation of a resounding defeat, both in the popular vote and the EC. The best early Christmas present of all would be by midnight, or perhaps the wee hours of election night that enough state’s ballots had been counted that they can call the election because Biden would have passed the EC threshold, and not just barely but with room to spare. In a perfect world Biden would already have surpassed Trump’s modest EC vote total in 2016. But as long as Biden is safely past 270 then all the steam would be out of the “challenge it in the courts” engine Trump and Barr have sitting on the railroad tracks. If Trump watches from the WH so much the better – a “walk of shame” the next day to go home (and stay there!) to Mar A Lago would be a sweet sight to behold.
Denis, Denis, Denis…we need them to be those better people. The job they’re going for, that’s what it calls for. Conversely, they need US to do the dirty work.
I too want him to live long enough to die a slow painful death in prison.
But I’ll take what I can get. It would be poetic justice if like his grandfather, also a draft dodger, he died of a global pandemic.
Wonderful. Biden just exudes decency. But you know Trump, to him decency or law abiding is a sign of weakness. It’s chum in the water and then the shark appears – jaws agape.
I think I detected a hesitation as Trump was exiting Marine1, study of the steps and holding onto grab rails …
Probably doped him up so he would not be whimpering, going across the walk to the hospital
The problem is, when your entire campaign is “I’m not him”, taking “him” out of the equation doesn’t leave much.
For the team of “him”, you’re right. For the other side, it’s too late for the team of “him” to counter it. And it’s hardly as though anyone’s in charge at the moment.
