I wonder what kind of an award we could cobble together to give to Karoline Leavitt for having said the Most Unbelievable Statement ever made from a White House press room. If what she just said about Pete Hegseth is true, then the implications are simply beyond anything that we have ever seen in government. Leavitt actually makes the statement that “the entire Pentagon is working against” Pete Hegseth. There are 20,000 people who work for the Department of Defense. If they are all united against Hegseth than stop everything, today. Let’s get to the bottom of this.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed that the “entire Pentagon” was working against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after reports said he shared war plan details with members of his family in a second secret Signal chat.
The New York Times reported on Sunday that Hegseth shared information about an upcoming attack against the Houthis in Yemen with his wife, lawyer, and brother. The news came after four top Pentagon officials were fired last week.
“The president stands strongly behind Secretary Hegseth, who is doing a phenomenal job leading the Pentagon,” Leavitt told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade on Monday. “And this is what happens when the entire Pentagon is working against you and working against the monumental change that you are trying to implement.”
“There have been people at that building who don’t like the change the secretary is trying to bring,” she added. “So they are leaking and they are lying to the mainstream media.”
CNN’s Natasha Bertrand pointed out that “more than 20,000 people work at the Pentagon, including military personnel and veterans who have served for decades.”
Hegseth is defensive as all get out today. But his only solution is to complain that the New York Times “won’t give its Pulitzers back.” What earthly good would that do anybody? But again, we’re expecting SECDRUNK to make sense.

If what is being said here is even remotely true and the Department of Defense and the Pentagon are in the level of chaos described and united against Hegseth — as Leavitt claims — then there is something very wrong. This is not even remotely normal for an insurrection in the ranks like this to take place.
The comical part of this is that Leavitt is oblivious to the gravity of what is coming out of her mouth. She is literally not putting together two and two and having it make four. If 20,000 Defense Department employees and the Pentagon are united against Hegseth — as she claims — then there is something wrong with Hegseth. Not with the DOD or the Pentagon. Yet that simple observation seems to completely elude her.
The week is young. Let’s see what develops. Right now all that Hegseth can say in his own behalf is that he’s a victim and being persecuted. That’s leadership for you.
According to the current regime, anyone who is competent and experienced is part of the “Deep State,” the establishment, or whatever term is fashionable. So Hegseth fits right in with the plan to create chaos and destroy existing norms. The real question is: how long will GOP members of Congress tolerate this situation, before something catastrophic occurs?
I’m loving this. Hegseth is turning out to be a sapper within his own castle, a veritable Trojan Horse and a gift to us all.
He’s doing God’s work donnie. Don’t even think of firing him.
