Judge Merchan Has Trump’s Number. And Trump Knows It, And Is Terrified.

I’m making homemade Italian Wedding Soup for dinner tonight, with a loaf of homemade Italian garlic bread, and I can hardly savor the scents. Mainly because Traitor Tot’s flop sweat has permeated, like a toxic cloud, all the way out here to southern Nevada.

Trump’s trial is starting Monday, and now even His Lowness can have no doubt about it. Over the last few days, out of pure desperation, Trump’s legal carp have filed two new motions. And Judge Merchan has showed that he has the measure of El Pendejo Presidente, and it’s a low one.

First, Trump’s legal toddlers filed their 2nd motion asking that Judge Merchan recuse himself from the case, due to new evidence of Judge Merchan’s financial stake in convicting Trump, due to his daughter’s work for Democratic candidates and organizations. One problem. Their new evidence consists of postings on his daughter’s social media account a year after she had deleted the account. Somebody else resurrected it. Good luck with that one.

Second, his Walmart lawyers filed a motion stating that Judge Merchan’s extension of his gag order to cover the families of the judge, the prosecutors, and court employees violates Trump’s 1st Amendment rights. His lawyers want Judge Merchan to delay the trial while their appeal is heard by a five member appellate panel on Monday. There’s just one small problem with that contention.

He already tried it, under a different New York state judge. When The Cheeto Prophet started going after his civil fraud trial’s judge, Judge Engoron’s family, as well as the family of NY AG Letitia James, Judge Engoron expanded his gag order to include families of the judge, prosecutors, and court staff. Il Douche immediately ran to the NY appellate court screaming about violations of his 1st Amendment rights!

And wait for it. Wait for it. The appellate court shot him down like the Red Baron. They reminded him that every day, all across the country, criminal defendants give up portions of their 1st Amendment rights every day, in order to ensure a fair trial for both the prosecution as well as the defendant. And that includes protecting prosecutors and their families, judges and their families, and witness and their family from possible intimidation.

Trump is sh*t outta runway. Judge Merchan will shoot him down on the motion to recuse. And as for Trump’s motion to delay the trial while the appellate court hears his case on Monday, Merchan gave him the back of his hand. He noted that the defense’s motion had already been adjudicated in the appellate court, and he lost. And while Judge Merchan welcomed Trump’s defense to file any motion they wanted before the appellate court, some other lawyers would have to do it, since his lawyers would be tied up in court on Monday for jury selection.

Traitor Tot is terrified, as well he should be. His most recent New York trials have been civil trials, and while after years of appellate tomfoolery might cost him tens, or even hundreds of millions of dollars, none of that touches him personally. Money is disposable to Traitor Tot, as long as it allowed him to keep his ego shields intact. Hell, his followers know he’s got billions.

But starting at 9 am on Monday morning, for the first time in his sad, pampered, misbegotten life, Hair twitler is about to become a criminal defendant. And he’s already learned from his civil trials that scowling darkly at the judge and jury doesn’t earn him any brownie points for being a badass. And this time around, if he’s infuriated by the testimony, he can’t stand up and storm out of the courtroom. This time around, he has to sit there and take it.

And Manhattan DA Alvin is playing it to the bone. He knows that if he puts this case on as a hush money scandal, he’s toast. There’s to great a chance that at least one member of a jury could see something as minor as paying off a porn star is not really a critical criminal matter. More trying to save his happy home life.

Bragg isn’t going there. Instead, he’s going to feature the Access Hollywood video that had even mainstream GOP party members like Reince Priebus and others to call for Trump to step down and be replaced by Mike Pence. And then he’ll spotlight Stormy Daniels, Michael Cohen, and former National Enquirer CEO David Pecker of Trump’s desperation to keep the Daniels story, which could be the literal kill shot for Trump’s campaign from becoming public.

Therefore the conspiracy to keep the story secret. And at its heart, this is the simplest kind of a case for a prosecutor to prove, because it’s a document case. Daniels, Pecker and Cohen are all like guides on a tour bus, they tell you what you’re about to see. And then Bragg drags out all of the documents that show you the vista in front of you. The jury doesn’t have to believe what the witnesses say, because they can see the vista for themselves.

Strap in my friends, and please keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times. We are about to embark on an unknown adventure, the first time that a former President is a defendant in a criminal trial. And worst for Traitor Tot? He can’t control the spin. The mainstream media will overwhelm his piddly ass social media platform’s ability to get his message across. Don’t touch that dial.
