Donald Trump has been simmering and even boiling over some over the reinstatement of the gag order in his NY fraud trial. He’s gone past boiling over to blow the lid off the pot with his latest Truth Social rant on the matter. Salon has an article up that briefly describes what happened in court and Trump’s subsequent primal scream through his stubby thumbs. Here’s how things unfolded.
Trump attorney Chris Kise made a “lengthy request” to postpone Trump’s testimony, which is scheduled for Monday, until an appeals court reviews the gag orders Judge Arthur Engoron imposed on the former president and his legal team barring their attacks on his law clerk and court staff.
Bear in mind that the gag order doesn’t prevent Trump (or his lawyers) from continuing to attack Judge Engoron or NY Attorney General James or her staff. It only prevents them from attacking Engoron’s clerk and court staff. I’m sure anyone reading this is familiar with the despicable attacks on the judge’s clerk. Her life will never be the same. Anyway Trump, as you’d expect decided to appeal the gag order being put back in force. Almost as predictably his lawyers screwed up the appeal and it won’t be heard right away but in the normal process which means when the full appeals court decides it’s good and ready. That of course infuriates Trump hence the motion judge Engoron denied. Did I say denied? Well, I’m afraid that doesn’t do justice (pun intended) to what actually happened in court. Kise, and by extension Trump got body slammed:
“Absolutely not. No way. No how. It’s a nonstarter,” Engoron told Kise, according to The Messenger’s Adam Klasfeld.
“You tried,” Engoron added. “And I gave it a deep thought, as well.
Gee, you think the judge was anticipating just what ensued as in Trump having a Truth Social meltdown? Attacking him for not being fair, dismissing his PERFECT, perfectly reasonable request to delay his testimony? Funny thing. After getting the judicial equivalent of an ass-kicking Kise informed the judge that Eric would no longer be part of the defense case. In other words if you were looking forward to Fredo II’s second stint on the witness stand (I think it was supposed to be today) you’re out of luck. (Trump would on TS say the cancellation of Eric’s testimony was his doing) It’s interesting that Kise was prepared in the moment to tell the judge to scratch Eric’s planned testimony. So again I say: Gee, you think Team Trump knew all along that the motion to postpone Trump testifying a second time would get shot down? It sure seems so.
The article goes on to talk about how Trump complained to reporters yesterday about the gag order, even though as I said it doesn’t stop him from attacking the judge and the AG/her staff. And that legal analysist Lisa Rubin asks the obvious question about how if as he claims Trump is unconcerned about testifying gag order or not then why file the motion in the first place? Obviously it’s started to dawn on Trump witness stands are places he should avoid at all costs as his own fat mouth makes him his own worst enemy. I wonder if Vega is laying odds on whether Trump chooses NOT to testify and the defense resting it’s case without calling him?

“I told my wonderful son, Eric, not to testify tomorrow at the RIGGED TRIAL brought about by A.G. Letitia James’ campaign promise that, without knowing anything about me, ‘I WILL GET TRUMP!’” Trump wrote Tuesday night. “She ran for A.G., then Governor of New York, and lost! Eric has already testified, PERFECTLY (Unlike their STAR witness-who admitted he lied!), so there is no reason to waste any more of this Crooked Court’s time on having him say the same thing, over and over again, as a witness for the defense (us!). His young life has already been unfairly disturbed and disrupted enough on this corrupt Witch Hunt. Besides, I will be testifying on Monday in this shameful, NO JURY ALLOWED ‘TRIAL.’”
Again, I wouldn’t want to bet on Trump showing up and testifying. He’s scared and it’s showing!!
He didn’t say that for Eric. Trust me. Child of a narcissistic mother. He only said that to try and make himself look like a good daddy.
Awwww, poor Eric. His young life being disrupted and disturbed . . . . as it has been since his birth to a lying, uncaring, pervert of a father! If tfg had any regard for any of his children (besides his obscene focus on Ivanka), he would have conducted himself with love and concern, affection, being a good example. They got none of that, so it’s a little late to start concerning himself with ‘poor Eric’. The damage has already been done to him and his siblings and we’ll have those poor excuses of human beings to deal with long after their old man is planted with Ivana.
I would like to be a fly on the wall of the room daddy told dimwit II he wouldn’t be testifying (if such a conversation/order even took place). I have a vision of daddy telling him he didn’t need any f*ck-ups…or any MORE f*ckups. lol

Geez he’s such a caring father! He must stay up all night suffering over the 4000+ destitute brown children he ripped from their parents at the border with A PLAN to never reunite them. Oh, and suffering over the FACT that over a 1000 STILL aren’t reunited YEARS LATER!!!! Poor Eric.
A $1,000,000 fine for his shenanigans on posting the judge’s clerk payable to the clerk for having to probably move and dealing with death threats.
If that doesn’t happen, I’m sure there are lawyers in the queue that would be quite happy to represent her in a civil suit on Trump. But they better hurry, I think his money is going down fast.
