Jim Jordan Upset ‘the President’ ‘Got Raided 91 Days Before the Election.’ Trump Was On No Ballot

Kevin McCarthy is thrilled. His first day and he’s got a way to stick it to the White House — or so he thinks. All of GOP world is feeling blessed with the revelation that Joe Biden’s office had some classified documents. Jim Jordan is beside himself. Too bad he’s confused about who’s who and what’s what in this matter. He says,

“The take away from me right now is just the whole double standard. Let’s be clear. There’s only one person who can have classified documents, it’s the president of the United States. So, and yet, he gets his home raided, coverage by the press 91 days before an election. The Biden White House finds out a week before the election that there were classified documents at the Biden Center and the American people didn’t get to know that.”

Now this is incomprehensible, but then it came from Jim Jordan. Trump wasn’t on the ballot when the execution of the search warrant at Mar-a-Lago happened. As to the Biden documents being an issue a week before the election, they were immediately turned over to NARA. The White House counsel was immediately consulted. The two situations couldn’t be more day and night in nature. But that doesn’t ever stop years long tirades about emails and laptops, now does it?

If you can’t grasp the difference between finding improperly stored classified docs that you immediately turn over to NARA vs. obstructing and lying in a federal investigation regarding improperly stored classified docs, I cannot help you.

In fact, the CNN story reveals that the documents have been locked up for five years, there was no request for them from he National Archives, and no flaunting of the documents by Biden. Trump’s documents were stored in a pool storage room and there is evidence that he defied multiple requests to return them.

In fact, it’s entirely possible Biden didn’t even know he had them. The FBI wasn’t called in to negotiate with anyone on Biden’s team for the documents. There was also no search warrant issued for the FBI to search the locked offices for the documents.

As Moss pointed out, the day the documents were discovered the Biden team reached out to the National Archives and it was sent to the Justice Department without incident.

That’s as cut and dried as it is. But it’s spiraling out of control as we speak.

Here we go, heaping coals thrown upon the necessity for a Frank Church-like committee to investigate the weaponization of the FBI and to skew this minor matter into something it’s not.

Just the latest flashpoint in the culture war. Don’t look for a lot to get done in this Congress, but then you knew that.
