I am on the record and will stay on the record about the fact that the files found apparently all over Biden’s places are a problem, and it will make prosecuting Trump that much more politically difficult. I say that only because you can count upon Republicans like Jim Jordan to refuse to recognize some very obvious differences.
The MAGAs want their raid, damn it!! They want flashing red and blue lights, guys with FBI windbreakers and hats going through Jill Biden’s panties while wearing their shoes in the bedroom. They want that raid so badly that they’re completely willing to ignore the fact that it is Biden who self-reported this and has been working with the National Archives and the FBI to cooperate. When you cooperate, there is no need to “raid” someone’s place.

OH, and please – Jim, you can be sure that pictures will be released the very second that Biden’s team tries to assert some kind of executive privilege claim in a kangaroo court in front of a kangaroo judge.
This zeal to “get back” at Biden is why Biden needs to continue to cooperate with the FBI and Special Counsel (I am assuming there is no criminal intent here), but it is also imperative that Joe encourage the House of Representatives set up their own investigation. House Republicans will take it so over the top that they’ll hang Trump in the process, while Biden can go right in and testify, demonstrating he’s not senile nor scared of them. Even though it would be far better if none of this had happened, it did happen. Now it should be used as much as possible for good political ends.

The former guy was and is in trouble for obstruction, because he refused to return those docs. Biden’s people reported the docs when they were found.

Perhaps someone needs to raid Gym’s files–might come up with the reason he completely ignored the calls for help by the students who were being raped by the Univ. Dr. Makes you wonder doesn’t it? Where’s the calls for Gym’s laptop? Might be some interesting info there as well.

Gym will be indicted for seditious conspiracy for his involvement in the Jan 6 insurrection before the former university student victims can get their civil case to trial or George Clooney gets his documentary on the air.
I was a huge fan of this series and was delighted when during the holidays a network ran all the episodes. If I could afford it I’d have bought the box set for my DVD long ago. I remember much of it, including the episodes related to the impeachment of the fictional President Barlett quite well and this episode in particular. I loved where the camera focuses in tight on “C.J.” and she says “Come and get us.”
I’m not going to disagree with your assertation that House Republicans will go WAY over the line and show their big, red baboon’s asses. The difference here and now, in actual reality is that the WH doesn’t have to lift a finger. Gym Jordan in particular has spent years dreaming of “going after” a Democratic administration (and even Republicans who aren’t rabid enough in their attacks on one) and boy is he ever loaded for bear. Ever since it was clear the GOP would control the House, knowing he’d be chair of Judiciary he’s been sharpening his hatchet, and knives and who knows what. Now? His toughest task is that his head exploded when news of the Biden docs broke and he’s got to piece it back together!
The shit-show was gonna happen no matter what. As for the WH, they’ve known it all along since the midterms and have surely been preparing for it. As has the Democratic Party and the House Democrats. In a way, having Nancy Pelosi as a regular member again is a blessing because instead of the massive duties of the Speakership she can provide all kinds of real-time guidance as all this unfolds to those sitting on those committees. I’m back and forth on whether she should serve on the Select Committee that will be formed. And naming her WOULD put McCarthy in a helluva spot. If he were to reject her to keep his crazies from filing a motion to vacate it would show right out of the gate that the House GOP is out of control and the political equivalent of shooting the elephant with an old LAW rocket like we used back when I was on active duty. We’ll see soon enough.

He hasn’t made it yet. Heaven knows when it will be ready to go to air. I was hoping he’d have it ready for the midterms but no such luck.
Just too bad it will only be shown on HBO, as it won’t be seen by many people who should see it.
Again the fiction of TV storylines predicts reality.
