A mysterious map which discloses national security information is exactly the next development we needed in this mad script where a recluse billionaire one-term president has stashed classified documents against all government direction not to do so and refused to return them. Only I want secret passageways, too. And maybe a ghost, while we’re getting truly fantastic. New York Times:
Federal investigators are asking witnesses whether former President Donald J. Trump showed off to aides and visitors a map he took with him when he left office that contains sensitive intelligence information, four people with knowledge of the matter said.
The map has been just one focus of the broad Justice Department investigation into Mr. Trump’s handling of classified documents after he departed the White House.
The nature of the map and the information it contained is not clear. But investigators have questioned a number of witnesses about it, according to the people with knowledge of the matter, as the special counsel overseeing the Justice Department’s Trump-focused inquiries, Jack Smith, examines the former president’s handling of classified material after leaving office and weighs charges that could include obstruction of justice.
One person briefed on the matter said investigators have asked about Mr. Trump showing the map while aboard a plane. Another said that, based on the questions they were asking, investigators appeared to believe that Mr. Trump showed the map to at least one adviser after leaving office.
This is some map. So far we don’t know what the map is, exactly, but from the sounds of it, I wouldn’t be surprised if the location of missile silos, armaments, who knows what all is on the map. And Trump would be just fine with blasting it all over social media. You may recall when he posted a map of a military installation in Iran on Twitter, either not knowing or not caring that it was classified information.
And whatever it is, Trump’s lawyer is miffed.
Christopher M. Kise, a lawyer working with Mr. Trump on some of his cases, faulted the Justice Department for its focus on the former president’s handling of classified material, like documents related to his dealings with the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Mr. Kise suggested that the department should be focused on the recent leaks of intelligence under the Biden administration about the war in Ukraine.
“Seems the priorities are misplaced here,” he said. “America’s national security apparatus is spending much time and taxpayer money alleging President Trump had old photos of K.J.U. and some outdated map while real wartime intelligence data is flying out the door. Might be time to focus on what matters.”
Trump was spilling national security info on Fox News last night, almost as if he was signalling what’s to come — as in a threat — if he’s indicted.

The plot is thickening.
If he’s disclosing classified information on Fox or Trash Social, or for that matter monetizing it in some manner, he’s headed straight to jail. It’s one thing to be investigated for doing this in the past and quite another to be seen to do it in the present, because then he becomes an active threat to national security and must be dealt with. I think trump has gone completely over the cliff and we’ll see his lawyers racing for the exits soon. The popcorn is on.
Dump cannot help himself, no matter what, when or how damaging to our country, something he is NEVER to reveal, it is only like a glass of spilled water, easily fixed later, but throws a spotlight on Dump while the custodians try their best to clean it up …
It never fails, the more rotten he sounds as a former so-called president, the more he smells like a bag of garbage left out in the sun too long, needing immediate removal from the public domain …
Maybe the DA’s can remedy the situation and the military can fix the leaks …

I bet that map was used to set up the path for those Chinese balloons. If I remember correctly, melanoma had a deep interest in our missile fields….and the Chinese want to figure out how to defeat the communications to those silos.
Plus, the Chinese put 15 million in fat asses bank account. Nothing odd about that I suppose….
You haven’t been paying attention in the last 6 years.
Mr Kise might want to remember that we’ve got a relatively functional Department of Justice that can handle MULTIPLE investigations simultaneously, unlike his client’s DOJ which was tasked with only one investigation at a time, that being whatever Trump wanted investigated at the time; everything else could be dropped since Trump had already moved on (except for the 2020 election which hid DOJ wisely chose not to bother with).
