There are two glaring issues here, two elephants in the room that no one wants to see: 1. First of all, Trump supporters don’t read; 2. That blog was impossible to read for people who do. I had to cut up one long, run on post into four sections because I couldn’t do a screenshot on the whole thing.
Trump was better off on Twitter and his devotees know that, so much in fact, that over on Gab a Trump’s From The Desk posts are presented in the format of tweets. This led many to exclaim that Trump was back on Twitter. Reuters did a fact check and no he’s not.
A google search of the post’s wording and the handle @realdonaldtrump visible in the screenshot (bit.ly/3uDj7lL) brings a result to Donald Trump’s page on the social media platform Gab, with the Gab “tweet” in question visible here . The formatting matches the screenshot being shared on social media that claims “he’s back!!!”
The page’s bio (gab.com/REALDONALDTRUMP) reads, “Reserved for the 45th President of the United States of America. This account is an uncensored Twitter archive and shares email statements sent by The Office of Donald J. Trump.”

You want to know the sad truth of the matter? Trump would rather be reinstated to Twitter than to the presidency. He won’t get either, but if he could choose, I sincerely think he would choose Twitter.
The larger issue here is that Trump and his inner circle are only too happy to cobble together something that looks real, because if they can make the rubes fall for it, that’s all they want. That has always been the name of the game.
Now Trump goes on to his next big performance, Mike Lindell’s MAGA Frank fest on June 12, where he’ll speak from the jumbotron, just like Big Brother, fascism via pixels. It should be one swell two minute hate. I’m sure we’ll see clips and we’ll post them here. I’m particularly curious to see if he tries to incite another riot.
As you know I don’t twitter, and if Gab is a knockoff then fuckit. However, how much does it resemble twitter? Is is a close enough imitation that if it starts getting attention twitter can sue it?
