Yes.  It’s true.  Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker who so famously, spectacularly and speedily crashed and burned in Hindenburg fashion in his bid to become President is back.  For years he’s been the butt of jokes.  Hell, it WAS an epic Presidential wannabe fail.  Had it been me I’d have done what Walker did.  Go away and hope people would, mostly at least forget.  And maybe someone else might one day come along and take over the dubious title of Biggest Presidential Hopeful FLOP ever.

Ron DeSantis might not be flaming out as fast as Walker did but he’s a real contender to take over as the #1 butt of failed candidate jokes, and THE example of how NOT to run for President.  From where I sit, Walker was almost home free.  He’s still relatively young, and by just quietly going about whatever the hell he’s been doing in a couple of years, maybe even less than one year his name would almost never be mentioned again.  DeSantis would be the butt of the jokes, the example of the epic failure of a Presidential candidate.

What the hell could have possessed Walker to suddenly step back and try to grab some spotlight?   Are he and DeSantis super-secret special buddies and Walker feels a need to take some heat off his pal?  Provide a distraction?  Or something more delicious – is Walker looking at Trump’s legal troubles, and making a move to simultaneously gain favor with MAGA World AND set himself up as the “rescue candidate” if Trump is forced by legal problems to drop out?   Or sputters in the primaries?

Well, whatever his reasons Walker is making a play to become relevant again.  As this article describes he’s out there trying to make some news by defending Trump.  According to Walker logic (I know, I know – two words that don’t fit together!) if Trump can be charged for Jan. 6 then by golly Bernie Sanders and Chuck Schumer have committed crimes and should be charged.  In Sander’s case for that nutjob who shot up a baseball practice for the annual inter-Party Congressional baseball game, and in Schumer’s case for saying people should protest SCOTUS Justices pushing to roll back abortion rights.

Of course, neither Sanders or Schumer has a history of advocating violence.  To my knowledge neither ever has, but rather has instantly denounced it whenever it has broken out.  And without any quibbling like “very fine people on both sides” bullsh*t.

Anyway, to paraphrase the little girl in Poltergeist:  “He’s Baaaaack!”
