It’s no secret that the best defense is a strong offense and it can’t be coincidence that Trump’s Saturday Truth Social posts claiming how powerful and focused MAGA is come in the wake of what has arguably been the worst week Trump has ever endured.
Maybe he thinks he can bluff his way through it. Who knows?

We won’t even go into the blatant factual inaccuracies. The S&P 500 closed up for yet the fourth consecutive week and the inflation index was zero this month. Anybody who glances at a newspaper can ascertain that, but we live in America during the culture war and MAGA watches Fox News or outlets that are even more extreme. Ergo, they believe what Trump is spewing here.
Why is the word “people” in quotes? Or “Scam?” Anybody know? Maybe the Shadow knows.
Either he is announcing a run for office, or he’s not announcing, but he wants to drive the point home that he has never been so popular or gotten so much money donated. The message there is that he’s a force to be reckoned with and not some crook who might face one state indictment and two federal indictments in the foreseeable future. Or worse.

True, but killing themselves is fine…dragging the rest of us to suicide is an undeclared act of war in my opinion. I doubt any Ukrainians who kill a Russian solider loses any sleep. Nor would I. Fascism is a philosophy in which a certain group of intellectually lazy people desire a government that controls all and simply will tell everyone how to think and what to think, and how to act. The government can pick up the slack and dictate ever daily task and how to do it. Simple. People comply and society is happy, religions are happy as participants, and the oligarchy is happy with its profits. And if things go wrong, society can blame the guys at the top. The rest of us, those with functioning brains and the will to live their onw lives with reasonably personal autonomy can do little because too many of us get so frustrated that we think even voting is a waste of time, and so we suffer in silence. We also are among the lazy, jut not as much involved, while the rest of us take our chances and risk our lives to do the right things to get a real free society back on track. Of course for us, the process is like pissing in the wind. The stench of blowback is strong, but still we strive.
