This is spiralling out of Trump’s control by the minute. The return punch has started. The Hill is reporting Iran has launched an attack on the Al Udeid U.S. Air Force base on Qatar following strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend.
Iranian state TV reported on Monday, around 1 p.m. in Washington, D.C., that Iran has begun operation against the U.S. base outside Doha. A source familiar also told The Hill that Iran launched 10 missiles at the base.
The Trump administration is monitoring the situation, a senior White House official told The Hill, as President Trump is set to meet with his national security team following the U.S. attack in Iran.
“The White House and the Department of Defense are aware of, and closely monitoring, potential threats to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar,” the official said.
Israel was continuing its strikes inside Iran on Monday.
I guess the reality of the situation is that Dan Caine will be calling the shots. He is at least a general and the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Trump and Vance are clueless. They are social media and TV people. And the time for that has long passed. We are now deep in shit. Start wearing hip high boots, it’s only going to get worse.
