Whether this is a Freudian slip or Noem has it in for Elon Musk and his defunct DOGE group, it’s an amazing statement, especially on national television. This admission will probably get broadcast around the world, it’s so out of character and off the walls.

Do you even believe that you heard that? Noem is desperate to deflect attention if she’s looking to blame Elon Musk. Musk is passe. Nobody reads about Musk anymore. He’s like the old newspaper that is used to wrap fish or line the bird cage, nobody is reading stories about him anymore. He’s washed up insofar as being a media icon is concerned — and that’s granting arguendo that he ever was a media icon. Mainly, he just got intoxicated by the attention he got standing at rallies with Trump and jumping up and down, in a ketamine-fueled performance.
An interview like this would be suicide in any other country of the world. But in this one it’s grist for the mill. That said, I think it’s safe to say that Noem is starting to wilt in the heat from the kitchen. This has been a very bad week for her.
Apparently, she means that the distrust of government was BEFORE tRump 2.0 and now they (Elon) are fixing it.
