This is one of those things for which you can’t do an introduction. On a day like today, which is one of the darkest passages in our nation’s history, this is a ray of sunshine and hilarity. I hope the demonstrator is there when the Marmalade Monarch, the Mango Messiah, GEOTUS, God Emperor Of The United States, arrives. This is spot on, give this man a contract in Hollywood.
It’s still a couple of hours before Trump shows up for his 4:00 p.m. arraignment. I wonder what other marvels will appear. I hope they’re as entertaining as this one.
Also, in Trump news, Trump is now saying that “I need one more indictment.” He says this will ensure his victory in the 2024 general election.
This is the guy who lost by seven million votes in 2020, when he didn’t have any indictments.
I’ll say one thing. I’m glad to be alive at this time in history. I’ve seen America go nuts. When we elected Trump in 2016, that was our biggest mistake, our worse decision, our darkest hour — up until now. Now we’ll see what America does in 2024. I believe she’ll prove herself and resoundingly rout this clown and his clown party.
And make no mistake: it will take the GOP a good decade or two to recover from this mess.
One minor correction…Trump stole the 2016 election by using dictator installer Paul manafort and the Russian intelligence to manipulate the votes in key states including sharing voter information. He also broke campaign laws by paying off stormy to hide his behavior, which was disqualifying. He was aided by the gerrymandering and cheating the gop did in several states. Finally James comey placed his thumb on the scales when Trump was actually the one under investigation. He didn’t win anything. He lied, cheated and stole the 2016 election.

If the outdated and un-needed electoral college had done its job, part of which is to not seat an obviously unqualified candidate, Traitor Tot would have never had the chance to illegally squat in our White House for four years!
Progressives aren’t wrong to point out the racism that was part of the impetus for the Electoral College being created. However, too many ignore there was another purpose just as important if not more so although the point can be fairly debated. The founders feared foreign influence more than anything. The country was to say the least less than united and functioning after the Revolutionary War and it wasn’t just England that was looking at collaborators who might help them snuff out our fledgling nation. Having someone controlled by/beholden to a foreign power, or a demagogue who could incite the masses and sow enough discord for popular uprisings would allow for a King or King type person to take over. And yes, despite the relatively limited pool of those originally allowed to cast votes there was a fear such people might vote for a certain type of person that would sell our new experiment in governance down the river. They felt a special group of people, leaders of unquestioned integrity who were committed to a Constitutional form of government was essential as a “buffer” and someone like Donald F**king Trump who was both beholden to a foreign leader AND an unqualified demagogue was EXACTLY the kind of person they had in mind that the EC should prevent from taking office.
Every Presidential election I can remember has, at some point had a bit of talk about “Faithless Electors”, those who ignored who the voters had chosen and most states actually provide for replacing someone who chooses to substitute their own choice for what the overall state vote decided. But whenever this comes up, the reason why the founders created the EC in the first place and specifically the issues of being beholden to a foreign power or being corrupt and incompetent (or both) never gets explored.
But they DID foresee a Trump coming along and provided a mechanism to keep such a person from taking power. It’s just that over time the ability of the EC to do what they intended for such an emergency was neutured. At times it’s a good thing that’s been the case. But it DOES reinforce the need to do away with the EC entirely and use the popular vote to determine the President and VP. I maintain that while “swing states” will still get too much attention a lot more places will get attention/consideration if candidates have to earn votes everywhere.

I don’t often miss living up near DC but today I do. Because my old, worn-out a$$ would be out there with a sign and a bullhorn. But what this guy did, and maybe is still doing beat the hell out of anything I’d have come up with! This is something a rich Democrat needs to pick up on and hire people (including a few helpers, both to make/post videos and provide some protection) to do every day. All over the country but especially at Trump properties. And courthouses. Hell, hire a slew of them to flood the streets of Ft. Pierce every time Judge Loose Cannon will have a hearing in that pretty small place. So SHE, like Trump can’t avoid being confronted with it!
