He’s still going to have his fingers into them *and* into tRump. He’ll be going back once or twice a week to be there and spend time at Tesla for the remainder. That means until 2029. He doesn’t seem to realize what his far-right extremisms and close association with Agent Orange have done to *all* of his companies, not just Tesla. Investors breathed a sigh of relief at this announcement, and stocks shot up. Elon might finally go back to working with all his companies, not just Tesla. They have suffered the most from his views. Two hours before Musk’s announcement, the news had come out that profits had dropped 71% in the first quarter. That’s (obviously) not a good sign. From The New Republic:

“Tesla’s stock price shot up on Tuesday because investors bought into a ridiculous fantasy that Tesla can somehow turn back the clock. Many liberals, once the company’s core demographic, have unloaded their vehicles, and many more will never buy one again. Even apolitical and moderate consumers have turned away, either because of the Musk stigma or a fear of getting vandalized. This brand damage is not going to suddenly heal just because Musk reduced his workdays in Washington. It’s hard to see how the company, which was already struggling amid greater competition domestically and internationally, flourishes again with Musk at the helm—or in any role, even a symbolic one.”

*WHAM*. Exactly.

That’s sad. When this car was in its heyday, I was considering one as a possibility for when we need to replace one of our older cars, but definitely, absolutely not considering one now. I don’t want to associate myself with MuskMelon in any way, shape, or form. He could very well have killed his other companies, such as SpaceX and Xitter, as well. Bet he didn’t think about the effects of his views on the other companies. I detest Xitter. But SpaceX has done some good things, and we need to keep that. Also, remember the methane generators he is using to power xAI? That’s already causing problems for him.

Here’s some more from The New Republic:

X, Musk’s social media platform, is in another category altogether. It might be the very source of his problems, both because it’s a massively unprofitable business and because Musk’s posts on it constantly draw attention to his vile politics. Its value has decreased dramatically since he bought it in 2022, and it has seen a liberal exodus as Musk has turned it into a far-right cesspool, where he fiddles with the controls in order to amplify fanaticism and suppress voices he disagrees with. Yes, its fortunes have recently stabilized, but much of the turnaround is the result of his close association with Donald Trump—once he leaves power, the company will have many of the same problems. As with Tesla, it’s difficult to imagine its long-term survival with Musk at the helm.”

I used to be curious about going on Xitter so I could follow some people. Not anymore. I am looking at BlueSky, though. What I’ve seen says it’s a far more friendly platform. And the longer I stay away, the more pennies Musk will lose. It’s not much, but it’s something. I really don’t want to be obsessed with my phone any more than I am. PolitiZoom already has great representation there. I like writing, though. I’m enjoying writing and hopefully presenting you with a little different information. You folks seem to like what I do, and that’s SUPER DUPER nice! Thanks for reading, and for sticking with me!

*****And now, please be so kind as to read a very special request from our awesome boss******

Zoomers, if you can spare a donation, it will keep us trekking through cyberspace from planet to planet and psychotic news story to psychotic news story. We just need a little green energy to keep going on our (now) nine-year mission, and who knows how long it will take to get rid of Trump? Thanks. Ursula

  1. 🥸 Whether Musk only shows up in Washington a few days a week, or maybe in disguise as Amy Gleason (whatever happened to her?), doesn’t matter at all. His incel “big-balls” minions, fellow billionaire grifters, and current/former employees are firmly ensconced in every corner of the U.S. government! Musk is in charge and all of his ideas and businesses and contracts are being protected!
This Wednesday, the Senate’s Commerce/Science/Transportation Committee, led by Ted Cruz, will vote on Musk’s (Trump’s) nominee for director of NASA.* Jared Isaacman will undoubtedly move forward and then be confirmed by the full Senate. Isaacman is in business with Space X, has paid for private flights with them, and that made him a space-walking astronaut because he gave money to Musk! Musk also insured, prior to the 2024 election, that Isaacman would be Trump’s NASA nominee!
Isaacman claims he has no current contracts with Space X, but he does have them with Starlink (Musk). He wants to streamline the budget at NASA (easy to do if you give all the money to Space X) and won’t deny that he favors going to Mars as a NASA priority! Great use of those taxpayer dollars!
Musk also has his former [?] employee, Tarak Makecha, deep into both FBI and main Justice IT and cybersecurity departments. At DOJ, Makecha also controls grant-making operations so good luck get criminal justice dollars if Musk doesn’t like you or you’re trying to do any work other than rounding-up “MS-13” or “homegrowns.”
And, current Musk employees Justin Monroe and Christopher Stanley are deep into controlling funds and operations at other agencies but are not willing to reveal what they do!! Ooh, secrets!! 🤫🙊
Now matter where Musk is, he is in control of our government in any areas that protect him and his money!! So, everywhere I guess!! 💰💩🥸
