If Harris Is Serious, She Could Open Up A Real Can Of Worms Tomorrow Night

This is something that up until now has been flying under the radar, but if it happens, it could explode into the Harris-Trump debate tomorrow. In a comment over the weekend, Kamala Harris made it crystal clear that she was not only ready to but planned to call out Traitor Tot for his autocratic tendencies on the debate stage tomorrow.

As Rachel Maddow pointed out in her A-Block tonight, Harris is already off to a flying start. In her acceptance speech at the DNC, when she spent several minutes describing His Lowness’s attempts to cozy up to foreign despots, and then tied it all up with a bow by saying, ‘The real reason that Donald Trump spent so much time cozying up to autocrats is that he wants to be one himself! On day one!’

So, why is this important? After all, it isn’t like El Pendejo ex Presidente has tried to make any kind of a secret of his totalitarian urges. And clearly his base is fine with that sadistic sh*t, otherwise Il Douche would be polling in the 30’s. What difference does it make?

Here’s what. As I wrote previously there are several analysts, including a New York Times article that posits that the Trump campaign has given up on even trying to win the popular vote. They know full well that Trump has a concrete ceiling of 47%. So instead they’re going to try inciting every low intensity, low information, inbred racist yahoo in rural parts of critical swing states to activate and show up to vote to give The Mango Messiah a razor thin victory in those states.

Which means that since the campaign made that strategic decision, the David Koresh of politics is off of his leash. And these aren’t the kind of people who are going to be inflamed and motivated by logic and policies. These are the kind of mental defectives that tend to be motivated by death and destruction.

And damn!, Trump is giving it to them. In a rally a few days ago, he suddenly decided that it was funny again that Paul Pelosi got whacked in the head with a hammer by a misfit toy Trombie, so he joked about it. And in a rally in Wisconsin over the weekend, Trump bragged that he was going to use active-duty US military troops to set up detainment camps for rounded up illegal immigrants, and that it would be a bloody story. And he swore that once an undocumented immigrant was returned to wherever they sent him or her, if they tried to come back in here again, they’d be shot on sight.

Just two problems with that. Posse Comitatus prohibits the use of active duty military troops for domestic law enforcement. Even in the child separation era, when they reopened shuttered military bases for detention, it was INS agents of private guards who secured the sites. Second, if somebody sees an undocumented immigrant crossing the border, how do they know if they’re a first time or a repeat offender? What The Cheeto Prophet is proposing is basically open season on immigrants.

This is why Harris is threatening an atomic landmine for Trump tomorrow night. If she goes off question and highlights the insanely cruel, Nazi tactics Traitor Tot is willing to use, she places him in an untenable position. If Dolt 45 is married to the minority/majority strategy, then he can’t back down. And if he does back down, then he’s just full of shit to the very low intensity voters he is desperate to get.

And it’s a dangerous move for another reason. When Hitler pulled this bullsh*t in the late 1930’s, he made sure that he kept the racist nihilism out of widespread public sight until after he had control of the military, the police, the media and the judicial system. This was the New Germany, and those who didn’t like it had better shut up and go along, or face the consequences.

Trump has none of those things, and worst of all he doesn’t control the media. The media is reporting on this already, and that sucks for the pocket Diktator. Because while there are plenty of low interest, low intensity, low information voters in the sticks, there are also plenty of moderate GOP and independent voters who don’t want to have to start cheering and saluting goose stepping Marines. 

The GOP f*cked up big time when they gifted the Democrats Project 2025. And now, in desperation, not only Traitor Tot, but the entire GOP has let its Nazi slip show, and however it breaks, ultimately they’re going to have to answer to the voters for that. And Kamala Harris can force that issue by shining a bright debate spotlight on it. Don’t touch that dial.
