Well, this is getting more and more interesting. As the GOP starts to announce their committee assignments, we’re finally getting a glimpse into the backroom, unwritten blatant sellouts that that pathetic, craven, invertebrate Howdy Doody Speaker Kreepy Kevin McCarthy cut to manage to slither behind the Speakers dias. And it isn’t pretty.
Gym Bag Jordan is going to get the gavel as the Chair of the Judiciary committee, giving him free rein to take bites out of Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray. Machine Gun Margie got a spot on the Homeland Security committee, so she can swing her cats claws on Alejandro Mayorkas. And Sugar Daddy Matt Gaetz got a seat on the Armed Services Committee, so he can openly extol the virtues of Vlad the Imp.
For the next 18 months, these quibbledicks are going to engage in what I have previously referred to a pure performance art. They are going to groom every word towards the inevitable sound bites of FUX News every night. The beast is hungry, and must be fed. But their secret sauce is to have the mainstream media largely ignore their kangaroo courts, letting only FUX News feed their base.
Me? I want it all covered, on mainstream media. Imagine The House Financial Services committee calling Jamie Dimon to lob softball questions at him about lowering tax rates for the rich and corporations, just to watch Katie Porter rip him to shreds the same way she has for four years.
Imagine Gym Bag Jordan railing against Merrick Garland or Christopher Wray about withholding evidence from congress, only to have Jerry Nadler take them on a tutorial about why documents involved in an ongoing investigation are protected from disclosure to the public. For the protection of the subject.
Imagine Machine Gun Margie taking Alejandro Mayorkas over the falls on Trumpian bullshit, only to have Democratic members calmly rehabilitate with questions regarding facts and procedures, and not lame ass Q-Anon bullshit.
You can just go right on down the line. Oversight, Intelligence, Armed Services, Banking. On every committee you have far right bomb throwers looking to score points in the FUX News bubblesphere. And in the minority you have capable, intelligent Democrats, ready to make the GOP look like feckless losers.
From where I’m sitting, the Democrats have the advantage. Every GOP dominate committee is filled with muckraking GOPtards looking to score points on far right media. But the majority of Americans are sick and tired of bullshit partisan politics. And if the Democrats can make themselves look like the sane adults in the room, they may lost the FUX war, but they’ll win the 2024 electoral war.
