It turns out the upside down flag at Justice Alito’s home in the week after the insurrection riot at the Capitol isn’t his only visible support of throwing out the Constitution and making Trump dictator. A different flag associated with those people flew multiple times at his beach house in 2023 but I want to focus on his suburban DC home in Jan. 2021. I posed a number of questions and have gotten a partial answer to one of them. Given all that’s going on with SCOTUS I have what I feel is a great place for Senate Democrats to put a LOT of pressure on Alito.
The Judiciary Committee needs to send investigators to talk on the record with the federal and any local LE who provided some of the elevated security at the homes of numerous govt. officials during that time. The members of SCOTUS were among those singled out for a quite enhanced level of protection. That included 24/7 protection of their homes as well as security details for the Justices and family when out and about. Capitol Police, U.S. Marshalls, DC Police and I think other agencies took part. There will be records of exactly who was watching the Alito home and tasked with keeping an eye on Martha Alito during this time frame.
Interview/depose them and right away. This week. Have a formal investigation opened and haul their butts in to testify NEXT week. Alito, and Thomas too will realize some uncomfortable questions are coming. The point is to put on as big a display of public pressure as possible and if Alito doesn’t like it he can go f**k himself. Alito has gotten away with a lame explanation along the lines of: My wife was having an intense dispute with a neighbor over yard signs and “briefly” flew the flag upside down in response to the neighbor. I wrote recently this doesn’t hold water. I also mentioned there are LE people and neighbors that know more and journalists should by god be tracking them down.
Well, while I don’t have delusions of grandeur that my suggestion caught the eye of anyone at the Washington Post but they’ve published an article that, buried deep in it indicated some of their reporters have in fact started talking to Alito’s neighbors:
One neighbor interviewed by The Washington Post said she first noticed the upside-down flag in late January 2021, and it remained up for two to five days. The neighbor said she never saw anyone raise the flag or lower it when it came down, and Martha-Ann Alito never told her what message she was trying to send.
That’s just some reporters doing a little basic shoe leather investigating. Imagine what we could learn if sworn LE were to be reminded they are sworn LE, the consequences of lying and/or withholding material information were questioned about exactly who raised that flag upside down. Time and date. Their notes on Alito’s coming and going that week. How many days the flag was in fact flown upside down. And, again that picture above should be blown up to poster size and sitting on an easel within view. And the LE being interviewed can be told to take a look and consider how many other such pictures might exist. And that interviews with neighbors are part of the investigation.
The LE will be prevented from saying anything publicly unless/until they are called before the Judiciary Committee but what’s in the works WILL be known by journalists. And it’s safe to say a lot of discreet inquiries will be made with neighbors. They won’t be prevented from sharing with reporters that they’d been interviewed formally. Or what they said. Or, if they haven’t been knowing what’s up might have some recollections of their own to share about that week!
Again, this is something the Judiciary Committee needs to be jumping on. Right now. There is as the saying among fighter jocks does “The need for speed.” There’s another old saying, at least in Naval Aviation about the sound those jets make. To anyone who complains about the decibel levels the response is (or used to be) Aw man, that’s the sound of freedom! Freedom is literally at stake right now and we need some goddamned noise. I’m talking to YOU, Democrats on the Judiciary Committee.
I think you’ve got a great starting point and can move on it with incredible speed. If you choose to. I don’t care if in the end you can’t “get” Alito with evidence to have him impeached and removed. I’ll settle for pressure on him and Thomas too (pointing out Ginni’s J6 activities would be quit a shot across the bow) might, if not force a recusal make Alito and Thomas back down some. It’s better than nothing.
But doing nothing with the suggestion I’ve made (surely I’m not the only one who’s thought of what I’ve written about) is worse than not getting the result you’d like to get. Doing nothing emboldens these Federalist Society groomed Fascists to do even more damage. This country can’t afford the shrugged shoulders “there’s nothing we can do” apprpoach.
The ACTUAL law on this matter is quite clear, as posted recently by someone named Kirschner, text from federal law, 28 U.S.C. Sec. 455, which reads:
“Any justice, judge, or magistrate judge of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.”
So, again, “ANY JUSTICE, JUDGE, OR MAGISTRATE JUDGE of the USA” , “SHALL’, not might, may, could, but SHALL (=MUST) disqualify himself in ” ANY proceeding in which his impartiality MIGHT REASONABLY be questioned.”
That seems pretty clear, cut and dried, to me, but what do I know? I’m just a reasonable normal person who understands words and sentences and meanings.

The judiciary committee needs to start the investigation–sure. Certainly. First they need to show interest in doing this. Durbin shows NO interest in investigation the s.c. and apparently no other dems are squawking about it. I find this astounding/appalling because we have members of the magat party publicly stating those not supporting their turd emperor are going to be punished in some way–does Durbin and the rest of the dems think they will escape this?
Von Shitsinpants is not going to win the election-he will not win the popular vote nor the E.C. That will not stop these fools on the s.c. from doing their utmost to install him in the w.h. The six colossal fools think they are the people running this country, they are gods, anything they want will be the law of the land. They are so delusional they should be locked up before they harm others (which, with that asinine dobbs ruling is actually happening btw). Locked up and made to do the Thorazine shuffle every day for the rest of their worthless lives.

What I find the most surprising of all is that going after these corrupt fools would win elections for the dems–a LOT of elections. The approval rating for the s.c. is so f*cking low it is approaching nonexistence–they are loathed as much if not more than trump f.f.s. When you are provided a tool that does exactly what you need and you do not use that tool you are stupid, foolish, a dumb-ass. Right now-dems in the senate are just about as stupid as the ‘pubes.

After Jan. 6, 2021, there was likely increased security for many federal officials. But there was additional focus on the SC justices after the alleged “attempted murder” of Justice Kavanaugh in June, 2022. Does anyone else wonder why we have heard NOTHING about that incident, almost two years later? The whole thing sounded suspicious at the time. The alleged suspect turned himself in before he did anything, FFS!
