This is coming off of the DoD Rapid Response account, so we can only assume that the Secretary of Defense ordered this or somebody working for him did. In all events, the buck stops with Pete, just like the champagne bucket. It’s interesting that this obsession exists to prove that Trump’s parade was a big success when it emphatically was not. Trump has endured mockery from all over the world for the flopped parade, including from his BFF Vlad in Russia. Nevertheless, for reasons which go unanswered, here we are.
To anyone who followed yesterday, this is obviously photoshopped.
And coming from an official source – it’s criminal.

Pretty poor photoshop. No one can stand in the circled area (for one clue out of a dozen) pic.twitter.com/9MbgjcaYoX

Why go to this trouble to spread a lie after the fact? We know Trump isn’t the most mature person ever to be in public life, but is he seriously going to ignore what he himself saw and heard and comfort himself with tweets put up by Steven Cheung and Pete Hegseth? Is that where we are? So it would appear.
What's even funnier is they posted this picture hours ago and deleted it https://t.co/JGakWZzhaE

Maybe it was the immediate pushback that caused them to delete it. And then they argued and said, “No, we have to please Donald,” and they reposted it. Who knows? I would love to be a fly on the wall where Hegseth (or whomever) is rationalizing that it’s better to take this stupid course of action than to just let it go. Anybody over the age of 10 would have said, “Let it go.” Not this crowd.

This is my point exactly. Trump knows what was there because he was there. Why all this revisionist “rapid response” history? Will it make him feel better? Will it save his reputation somehow, because people who have already heard what a flop the *perade* was, will now say, “Oh, I was wrong. It was a smash hit. Never mind.” Is that the expectation?
seriously one of the worst photoshop jobs ever. not even surprising they uploaded it at such low resolution pic.twitter.com/ikOS5kJF1b

This is our *government* in the year 2025. The fish does rot from the head down. And look at what we have at the top of our government. Again, these people miss the central fact that should govern all of their actions: they are in office, but barely. Trump won by 1.5%, Hegseth got appointed via a tie breaking vote. These people are not operating with a “mandate” but they believe that the government and the country are theirs to remake at will. No, that’s not the case. Musk’s DOGE debacle and all the fallout from that should have taught them differently.
But then again, to be taught anything, you must be teachable, right?

I saw fireworks in a video, maybe it was a 4th of July? Those are well attended no matter who is in office because of the fireworks show.
BTW isn’t that Bernie Sanders sitting in that front-row across the way…w/mittens & a mask? Weird!?
I can’t see well enough to know if it’s Bernie but it is a guy with mittens and a mask, no question.
