I would seriously like to see these two broads — and that’s what they are. I have zero respect for either of them — hang onto their law licenses after this. This is the most egregious and transparently fraudulent abuse that I have seen in many a day. Follow the facts of this sordid and corrupt transaction with me: 1. Alina Habba did not have the votes to be confirmed as U.S. Attorney for the State of New Jersey. 2. Her term of office was set to be concluded, as a result. 3. Desiree Grace, a career prosecutor tapped by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey judges to succeed Habba, said she was prepared to assume the role. And she would have. 4. But Bondi knifed Ms. Grace by firing her, thereby creating a vacancy in the department. 5. Habba is going to fill the vacancy and stay on as “acting” U.S. Attorney.
Donald J. Trump is the 47th President.
Pam Bondi is the Attorney General.
And I am now the Acting United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey.

There is a fundamental flaw in this “logic” of Habba’s. Yes, Trump is the president. He was voted in. Pam Bondi was appointed and then confirmed. So both Trump and Bondi have gotten their jobs the legitimate route. Habba, has proclaimed herself as the Acting U.S. Attorney for the State of New Jersey but proclaiming it and making it stick are two different things. This is a disgusting ploy and it is corrupt as hell.
That America has fallen to this level of shenanigans makes me weep. And this kind of manipulation on Habba’s part, with Bondi’s enabling, is unethical. This violates the spirit of the law if not the actual letter of some portion of the Code of Ethics. But believe me, that Code will be poured over minutely after this petty, vindictive stunt. And by the by, the woman they are toppling, Desiree Grace, is not only highly qualified, she’s a registered Republican.
Habba has no absolute “right” of any kind to this job. Trump appointed her as the interim U.S. Attorney and her term expired after she was simply not approved to become the actual U.S. Attorney. To hang onto this job like there was some kind of divine entitlement to it, when she is woefully and screamingly unqualified for the post, is simply pure political theater. And that’s all Habba has ever brought to the Trump party. She’s a great frontwoman. She talks the crazy MAGA talk but when it comes to court and trial, as in New York City during the Stormy Daniels trial, she fell on her ass not knowing the rules of civil procedure or evidence. And even Trump was disgusted with her. E. Jean Carroll said he was “very cruel.”
Habba was a flaming joke. But hey, this will deflect from talking about Epstein, maybe, for a few hours, and this is sticking it to the libs, most particularly Cory Booker and Andy Kim. Gotta get priorities right here, ne c’est pas? Forget about New Jersey having a competent proesecutor, let’s play Political Theatre.
This is egregious. Let’s see where this goes next. It will not be to a good place. And do not forget for a nanosecond, Habba is still being investigated for ethical violations by the State Bar of New Jersey. And this latest stunt may be added on top of that. Habba and Bondi have decided that Habba is above the law — because they can. This is the level of corruption that is normal in Trump world.
We all need to participate in the General Strike called for on August 9th! No shopping, no work, no internet. This administration will never listen until we shut down the country!
You could be right. This level of lawlessness was seen back in the wild west, in parts of America that weren’t yet states and anything went. This is incredible to see. I never thought I would live to see this. And I’ve known crooked lawyers. I’ve known lawyers who have gotten disbarred. These two bimbos deserve to lose their licenses.
We can expect no better from the Trump regime. Donald himself set the standard on 6 January: he was voted out of office, refused to go and organised an armed attack on our seat of government. Anything this kakistocracy does afterwards is simply following his example.
This is not only unethical, it is illegal. Bondi may be able to fire Ms. Grace, but she has no authority to re-appoint Habba. The only way that position can be filled is by 1. confirmation and 2. judicial appointment. The judges need to appoint someone else (re-appoint Ms. Grace), and file complaints against Bondi and Habba with the Office of Professional Responsibility. And request that Ms. Habba not be allowed to fill any legal position until this complaint is resolved. Maybe she could serve coffee…
