Happy 60 days in office, Donald. And look at what you have wrought. Constituents in ruby red states are tearing into their Representatives. What makes this particular debacle even more ironic is that we’re talking about Wyoming, where Liz Cheney basically got run out of town on a rail for going against Trump. If I had to venture a guess, that guess would be that people wished that they hadn’t voted Cheney out. It’s pretty clear that it’s dawning on Wyoming constituents that this time a vote for the Republican candidate has been ill advised.

Now that is brutal. And while this kind of thing has been seen in other parts of the country, in Wyoming this is amazing. Wyoming is the least populated state in the country. People are pretty laid back for the most part. Some are what I’ll call sane conservative and others are backward. The more enlightened types usually end up moving out of Wyoming. All of my Wyoming friends have been people that I’ve met in other places. But one thing that is amazing about this display that you just saw is that across the boards, whatever their particular cultural shade, people are outraged.
And they have good reason to be. My heart goes out to the woman who said she got fired when all her performance reviews have been exemplary. That’s killer. When you suit up and show up at a job and do the job right and it still isn’t good enough, that’s time for despair. I had that happen to me at one job. Their issue was simply that they decided to take my job and parse out the duties between two people. I was told “it has nothing to do with you” but it has everything to do with you when you’re out of work and trying to live on an unemployment check. So I feel for these people. I have been on the receiving end of some higher up clown deciding what was “good for the company” and it’s no comfort to hear, “It’s not personal, it’s business.” Nothing is more personal than losing your job.
Nancy Mace won’t hold a town hall because she says “it’s dangerous” and Lauren Boebert won’t hold a town hall either. She’s got nothing to say to her constituents, which has always been the case, and she knows it. She doesn’t want to get eaten alive like this.
And Trump has no answers for these people. He’s too busy figuring out how to sanewash and spin his abject failure with the Ukraine war.
Mark April 2 on your calendar. That’s the big day that Trump says he’s going forward with his tariffs for real and the fertilizer could really hit the fan on that day. Or, maybe on April 1 Trump will finally call it all off and say he was only fooling. As demented as he is, he would think that an April Fool’s joke about wrecking the economy was comical and MAGA would spin it as the highest of wit.
MAGA will find out that the joke’s on them. The only issue now is whether he will go through with his plans, because if he does, you can fully expect all of the Republican Reps to hide in their offices. They can’t handle what you’ve just seen, let alone worse.
As to Harriet Hageman, I’m wondering if it isn’t primary time. Maybe Liz Cheney could get back in the game. Who knows?

Ursula…I work with elderly parents of a woman who runs international programs through UNC-CH for poor and rural communities through the school of Public Health. She has been forced to fire almost 100 people who were not deserving due to these two rich nazi bastards. When I’ve seen her, she’s always in tears or close to it. It’s tearing her apart. She said some now have no income, including a couple pregnant women. This goddamn country needs a revolution. Hey magats…next time you lock and load…head to the white house or Florida to rejoin this union, and ‘express’ your outrage…a union founded by the blood of true patriots. I’ll welcome all prodigal sons and daughters back into the fold. We are at war…it’s just not clear to the masses…but it WILL BE SOON ENOUGH. These nazi bastards and the cowards that support them need to be stopped. Period. Come on back, if for no other reason, than to save your children’s future. We’ll not dwell on the past since anyone can be misled. We’ll stand together for our future. As the Canadians now chant…ELBOWS UP!!!! Let’s knock some nazi teeth out.
