The Furkids informed me that silliness and frivolity were well overdue so they’d decided to go full-on Creedence Clearwater Revival this week.

While I knew the song they chose, I never really knew the lyrics before the Furkids related them to me. (Okay, I admit I thought they were making most of it up until I googled it… that’s when I made the amazing discovery that they were word-purrfect this time!)

I asked them if they understood the lyrics and was told “Dat wus sum gud catnip dey had!” I decided not to pursue the subject any further as there were several littlies present.

A small and very select group of Furkids of the feline persuasion (ie cat burglars) provided coins for the jukebox this week. So just press play, scroll down to the illustrated lyrics and sing along!

Furkids love the frothy milkshakes at ko-fi.com/furkids. They want you to know they love licking up their frothy moustaches! You can treat them to their favourite frothies for $3/€3/£3. 1. This native of (southern) Illinois loves it! I was in school when this song came out. Loved CCR then, and still do. It’s a shame things went bad between members of the band but it happens. It’s funny, but after getting going this morning and tending to some admin stuff for PZ before getting to this I already had a thought rattling in my head that maybe John Fogerty (since he’s still doing some stuff) would do a Trumpy rewrite of another of their classics. (I was already thinking about him because with spring training underway his solo Centerfield from the 1980s has been on my mind as it is every year this time of year)

  2. Furkids and CCR are a great combination..Loved it so much, thankyou for taking me back to an epic song & dance lol
    Thankyou Michelle
