Furkids: A Pocketful of Starlight

In 1842, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote “The Rainy Day”

The day is cold, and dark, and dreary
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the mouldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,

Into the dreariness of searching for a place to call home, into the darkness of missing my beloved Loula, the rain is falling. But I believe.

To all those who have rallied to my aid with generous financial assistance and with messages of hope and comfort, you have my heartfelt thanks. You are all helping me to carry on, to believe that my earnest appeals for divine intervention will be answered soon with the offer of a wonderful apartment. I have fingers, toes and eyes crossed!

The Furkids decided that what I need most right now to get me to that fervently anticipated destination, is a pocketful of starlight.

I am truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of help Loula and I have received. We are now well prepared for the move when it comes.
Of equal worth is all the affection and positive energy you’ve all been sending and continue to send to us. That heartfelt affection is returned in equal measure.
