They have come out in public to give us the reasons why. It’s certainly educational for us. But the shine off him ended on day 1 for us. We already, unhappily, know Trump and wish we didn’t. JD Vance is a moron and fits into the “administration’. Kinda wish Marco Rubio hadn’t 99% lost his mind. With respect for Raw Story:
Knives were out for Vice President JD Vance — and coming from an unlikely ally, The Daily Beast reported Thursday. Fox News host Brian Kilmeade fired off a tough demand and called for the Vice President to be pulled from the Iran negotiations. “The one thing we need is a different negotiating team. If we go to negotiations and that’s a big if-0 this team can’t do it,” Kilmeade said.
Well, my, my, my. This is an ungood thing. Vance is the second-highest person of authority in America, and Kilmeade is calling to remove him. What happened here? Is Fox getting unhappy with Trump? Is he unhappy with Vance and thinks he has no idea what he’s doing? This is strange.
Vance has stumbled through two rounds of high-stakes talks — first in Pakistan, then Switzerland — and has appeared shaky on the details of the deal he helped broker. Instead, the Fox anchor argued that Vance and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff should turn their attention to Ukraine as pressure grows for the U.S. to reach an agreement amid escalating fighting this week. As the fragile truce has unraveled quickly, Tehran has struck back at American allies from Qatar to Jordan, and both sides are trading blame over who broke the ceasefire first.
Yup, those negotiations aren’t going very well at all. We can hope someone in the administration pays attention to Ukraine. My Air Alert program set for Kyiv is going off at all hours of the day or night. It’s hard to imagine what Ukraine is going through while our ‘president’ is all about himself and nothing else. Kilmeade referred to current negotiators as “a waste of time,” and claimed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has been “calling the shots.” “We should demand different people,” Kilmeade said. “The foreign minister is a waste of time, and the speaker is a waste of time. The IRGC is calling the shots. So, why are we pretending to talk to the other guys? Talk to the people who make the decisions. Knowing ahead of time that they’re not to be trusted.”
He has a valid point there. We *should* be talking to the ones who are performing the actions. Those sitting in the palace or wherever are not the ones throwing the bombs or drones at ships near the Strait of Hormuz. We don’t know why they’ve targeted cargo ships. It’s not as if they are carrying weapons of war. The IRGC is still holding the world hostage. It’s a mess out there. I don’t know how to solve it. Iran can open and close the Strait as they please.
JD Vance is not doing too well at this diplomacy for peace. We don’t know if they have any decent envoys working on this. We need someone stronger, someone who has power spilling out in their walk or speech. We need someone confident. We are showing too much weakness to Iran. It needs to stop. We need to make progress on this ASAP. It just keeps getting worse. Could someone tell Trump to shut up? He’s ridiculous.
