I can’t see this holding up for too long. It’s either one or it’s the other. Is Fox News corroborating the Atlantic’s reporting, or is it challenging it? Here’s the corroboration and here’s the challenge.

Obviously, we’re going to stay on top of this one. Fox News can’t be doing two diametrically opposed versions of this story, at least not within the same hour. Talk about the pushmi pullyou, I’ve never seen the concept manifest like this. Fox News has got to be a wild place to work, with snafus of this level going on.

Here’s a clip of Jen Griffin, national security correspondent for Fox News, corroborating the Atlantic‘s reporting. Unless and until Fox News management issues a statement explaining which version of this story is actually the official version that they stand with, I guess we flip a coin.

I just wonder what the explanation is for this. Somebody didn’t get some memo. This is mind boggling.
U seem like a nice person. Unfortunately it’s hard for nice people to understand evil people or EVIL. I grew up with a violent alcoholic that my mom had to shoot to save her child. My dad wasn’t an evil man, just a damaged man. When sober, he was a good man. When he drank there was nothing that couldn’t go down. Guess that’s why I have such a wound for the abused children of the world, & I survived because I acknowledged the TRUTH of my situation & why I have no tolerance for lies especially lies to justify evil. Trump is a damaged man. His evil makes my dad look like a saint. When he sobered up, he was deeply sorry for the terror, the beatings, etc. He truly suffered. Trump is an empty human.
My mom never fails to remind me, Scott, how my old man, minus the fortune, is EXACTLY like Trump. His evil came out with the drugs but it was always there. And he was never sorry for ANYTHING he did. But the worst part for me was the enablers, everybody who turned a blind eye to what was happening to me, my mom and later my sis. It’s why I have a particular bone marrow anger at any and all Trump supporters and got no interest in “understanding” the diehards. I understand them just fine…and I still hate them for what they allowed to run loose.
Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever shed a tear for the Nazis or the kkk. As Sheryl Crowe sings ” I don’t want to know cuz everything I know makes me feel so low.” I understand the blind eye. I grew up when DSS didn’t exist & the local sheriff’s were his drinking buddies. No where to go, although I ran away for a brief time, & no one to report to. Like a friend of mine said, our road has made us the men we are today. Keep the faith & don’t give that sob or any sob any power by suffering any more than is necessary 4ur healing.
