Maybe it’s time to forget about Congress, morality and the rule of law and just let Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems clean house. It seems like more progress towards sanity and civility has been made in the past few weeks since they began filing lawsuits than in the several years prior.
Fox News has canceled Lou Dobbs’ show and this comes a day after Smartmatic filed a $2.7 Billion suit against Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, Jeannine Pirro and Fox News, among others. Los Angeles Times:
Dobbs’ program, which airs twice nightly at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern on the Fox Business Network, will have its final airing Friday, according to a Fox News representative who confirmed the cancellation. Starting next week, the program will be called “Fox Business Tonight,” with rotating substitute hosts Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman, who filled in for Dobbs on Friday.
Dobbs, 75, remains under contract at Fox News but he will in all likelihood not appear on the company’s networks again. In addition to his Fox Business Network program, he occasionally turned up on the Fox News Channel as a commentator.
The cancellation comes a day after voting software company Smartmatic filed a $2.7 billion defamation suit against Fox News and three of its hosts — Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro. The company claims the hosts perpetuated lies and disinformation about Smartmatic’s role in the election, damaging its business and reputation.
But people familiar with discussions say the decision to end Dobbs’ program was under consideration before the legal issues with Smartmatic arose. (Fox News said it stands by its 2020 election coverage and will “defend this meritless lawsuit in court.”)
Maybe it is coincidence. Maybe pigs have wings, they just like to keep it on the QT. Maybe Sidney Powell and Mike Lindell have mountains of concrete evidence of voter fraud stashed somewhere. Some real pain in the butt stuff has gone down for me this week. But this bit of awesome news has me smiling from ear to ear? I can’t help but wonder if “Judge” Janine might be next. Hannity already has done a bit of MGT is cray talk to distance himself from her and “Q” and I doubt he’d have done so without orders from on high. The proof in the pudding will be if Ingraham and Carlson do the same. If only to buy Fox time to figure out how to deal with the broader issue addressed in those lawsuits about their election (and aftermath) coverage. We’ll see. In the meantime I’m going to bask in the glow of knowing Dobbs has been sent into an embarrassing retirement!

Having gone thru a baseless lawsuit, which the supreme court in my state ruled in my favor, I can tell u it’s no fun walk in the park. I was in the right. These folks have untold hours of videotape showing they are guilty as hell. Wonder how much money will be handed over to settle it. They surely don’t want to go to the mat. Oh, wait. They are stupid enuf maybe they do.
I’ve long said that money alone was propping up the GOP. How much moreso the media shills? Dobbs was cooked from the moment Trump thought voter fraud was a good idea to push.
