Joining the ever growing pack of Republican pols eager to debase themselves and hopefully immolate what is left of their toxic careers by showing up at Trump’s Manhattan trial to repeat his lies about the court, its officers and their families because Trump himself is barred from doing so, Colorado GOP representative Lauen Boebert while speaking was met with a chorus of savvy New Yorkers shouting “Beetlejuice” – referencing the incident last year where she was spotted ‘giving a hand’ to her date in a crowded Denver theater.
This after winning Twitter wit Ron Filipowski’s coveted “Mother of the Year” award for allowing her own teenage son to face his own trial back in Colorado with neither legal representation of his mother’s support.
Nothing like a mother’s love.
“Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is among the latest batch of Republican lawmakers who made a pilgrimage to New York City to sit in on former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial in Manhattan.
But her presence there was particularly revealing to a lot of people on social media, because very recently, Boebert’s own son Tyler had to appear in court on felony charges for criminal possession of identity documents, strapped for cash and complaining to the judge he couldn’t afford a lawyer.
And his mother didn’t bother to show up for that courtroom proceeding.
Bill Smith pointed out, Boebert, who is currently attempting to jump ship from her own congressional district to a more conservative one on the other side of Colorado, was in court “to support Trump but absent from her son’s court date. Is there anything more she can do to demonstrate how terrible she is as a caring, responsible parent role model?”
But then I guess if Tyler could help her win in Colorado’s 4th district in November dear old mom might show up for him also.

Just a suggestion for Ms. Boebert – maybe go home and take care of your family, who might be there to support you long after Trump has betrayed and stabbed you in the back.
But then you are not, like most of your colleagues, smart enough to listen to good advice.
That’s your one redeeming quality.
If her son is 17, isn’t he still a minor in Colorado? And, if so, wouldn’t Bobo STILL be legally responsible for his misdeeds? Couldn’t the court hold her responsible for his support?
He’s 18 and was at the time of the crimes in question
Even the trustfunded, alcoholic pedophile walked? Maybe it was time for another sunscreen application on the Mt Rushmore forehead. Maybe she, although a nympho, had just aged out of his target prey. Who knows? Sad when friends walk away.
They Did tell him what the crimes were. But there weren’t any chicken nuggets in, so he can’t remember.
Perhaps her son is grateful she is embarrassing herself in NYC rather than in his courtroom. This might be one of the few times he can forget, with his mind occupied by thoughts of the trial and/or prison, that she is his mother. Harder to do when she is in the same room.
