I admit. There is a guilty pleasure in reporting on anything about Rick Santorum because he is one of the biggest d*cks in the GOP or anywhere. (Inside joke purposefully inserted). He loves himself enough to make up for any issues driving people crazy, like saying that there isn’t much Native American culture in America, implying that white people brought culture to the U.S.. Well, if you count Krystal Burger and Branson Missouri as culture but not some of the beautiful dresses, totem poles, and horse decorations, maybe he’s right. Of course, killing off an entire race will eliminate a lot of culture.
We’re getting far afield. The point is that Santorum is so conservative that his fiscal conservatism is hard to distinguish from his social conservatism. Either way, it’s bad form to leave a half million dollars in unpaid bills, and that’s exactly what self-impressed Rick Santorum did. From Rawstory:
According to the Federal Election Commission, Santorum’s campaign committee, Rick Santorum for President Inc., owes $450,309.74 and has only $376.01 in its coffers. Under federal election law, Santorum isn’t personally liable for the debt as his campaign is a distinct legal entity with its own separate finances.
Yeah, but – it was his campaign. At what point should a candidate become liable?
Rawstory reminds us that this was no ordinary candidate. This guy stressed fiscal conservatism throughout his campaign:
In an archived version of his presidential campaign website from 2012, Santorum attacked then-President Barack Obama’s budget proposal, saying, “The American people have spoken loudly for the past three years, demanding fiscal responsibility from our leaders and President Obama is either deaf or simply won’t listen.
“America needs to lead, and America needs a leader prepared to make those tough choices. I am committed to balancing our budget and cutting $5 trillion in spending in five years.”
Oh, we can probably trust that Santorum (Definition, NSFW) absolutely would have cut costs on money to WIC, any money to Planned Parenthood (even non-abortion money) and anything else having to do with, well – women, who are not married to their one and only husband and home having babies.
It looks like he might have to run for office again, if only to try to raise one million to cover the $450K and get by on $550K. We are sure there are plenty of big d*cks out there that would agree to help.

Every, and I mean EVERY time I see ole Rick Sanctimonious’ name pop up in the news I think back to those glory days when one of his homophobic comments spawned a campaign to flood search engines with “that frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the result of anal sex” in association with Santorum, driving it to the top listing for Google searches for a couple of years! (I’m a broken down ole jarhead so I’m not as polite as you.) That distasteful description describes the guy perfectly. Through some miracle of nature he wasn’t born like you or I, but shat out of one of his parent’s assholes and morphed into something that looks like a person. He could write a check to cover that ten year old debt and if he had any sense of decency would have done so long ago. I think the odds are greater than President Biden will appoint me Commandant of my Marine Corps before ole Rick covers the debt HE racked up in his failed Presidential run.
When you take advantage of piss-poor finance laws and leave others holding the bag for what your campaign spent, it’s still called stealing. I don’t care if it is a “separate entity” or if it is something that crawled up santorum’s ass to rot. He received goods/services and did not pay for them. And ultimately, the buck stops with him-he’s responsible.
