A lawyer friend of mine told me many years ago, “There are two systems of criminal justice in this country, one for the rich and one for the poor. Believe it.” I did then and everything that I have seen since has done nothing but convince me of the truth of those words.
Patricia and Mark McCloskey received a pardon from the governor of Missouri today. This is institutionalized racism. This is why people like Colin Kaepernick take the knee. NBC News:

In May, Mark McCloskey announced his campaign for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senator from Missouri.
He told Fox News host Tucker Carlson about his decision to run: “God came knocking on my door last summer disguised as an angry mob, and it really did wake me up.”
This is a reference to Patricia McCloskey’s statement at the time, “[They said] that they were going to kill us,” she said in July 2020. “They were going to come in there. They were going to burn down the house.”
…in prison for crimes even prosecutors now say he didn’t commit, remain behind bars with no hope of clemency. The contrast between the governor’s treatment of these cases should offend every Missourian’s sense of justice. It also proves the governor doesn’t have one.

Aren’t these the two dumb-a*ses who were holding weapons like they were holding dicks? For that alone they should be in prison-add it on to their other crimes. But of course, karen and ken and the magic hand of white privilege. F*k this country.
I wonder what that’s going to cost them, because you know the governor didn’t do it for free.
That smug “It’s good to be rich and white” expression on both their faces is infuriating. Since it would be illegal I wouldn’t wipe that smug smile off their faces in the way I’d like to. However, I don’t think it would be illegal to load up one of those super-soaker guns with heavily concentrated lemonade (perhaps with some yellow dye for added coloring) and hosing them down from far enough away they could see the stream of yellow liquid coming at them. (Of course, I’d shout “Piss on you!”) while giving them their faux golden shower just to make them shit their britches!
Cool idea, the show could be recorded for editing to a very nice loop for short and sweet cuts on national news systems, needing a short fill item and a good laugh …
20 seconds of holding weapons on peaceful demonstrators 20-30 seconds for dowsing and the aftermath reactions …

More than two,really. The one for rich whites is not the same as the one for rich members of “minorities.” The one for rich white men is not even the same as the one for rich white women. And … if you’re a poor minority woman … God help you.
