Ex-Fox News Reporter NOW Sees the Light: Trump Bad

Quick hit, my sisters and brothers. I want to share.

I am sensing a pattern, a tremor in the force. I am struggling to put it all together. Perhaps you can help in the comments, point me in the right direction.

Ex Fox chief political reporter, Carl Cameron (can that possibly be his real name? Whatever.), went on Ari Melba’s show and did something that it seems many former hostage — many former people inside the Trump orbit do.

Cameron suddenly sees that we’re led by a complete and total psychotic presence. And a dick, too. Cameron says there is not enough time in the day to list all of Trump’s problems. I take that as a personal affront because I give it one hell of a try.

But this isn’t about me, let’s hear some more before we judge.

“We have to think about our national reputation worldwide now, with the president at the G-7 meeting in France, how the rest of the world is looking at the U.S.,” Cameron said.

“We like to think of ourselves as world leaders. The president is not leading. So what are we?” he asked. “The United States of America’s reputation is at stake because its president is being irresponsible and violating our values and our traditions.”

The pattern that I am seeing is that once people step outside Trump’s direct power, they suddenly have a revelation. Trump is a danger to the United States.

Or am I just making this up because it feels right?

No, I am not, and you are well-aware of this pattern, too. After all, we’ve got more than a few examples of it already. In no particular order:

Michael Cohen

Rex Tillerson

Steve Bannon

Everyone in Congress or the Senate that has bolted?

Okay, that’s enough because there’s no point in listing all of them because that would take up near as much time as the list of things wrong with Trump. In fact, there’s some overlap there, too.

It isn’t a knock so much on the people who have formerly had little room to work, and had a reason to fall in line. Though, it actually is, now that I think about it.

But the more prescient point is that it makes one wonder just what the fck are the people still inside thinking? One has to presume that there would be a cabal of insiders that will never be comfortable outside of Trump’s grip; Ivanka, Don Jr. Eric, the people who will – or won’t – inherit the money, and perhaps Stephen Miller, who will definitely inherit the racist legacy.

Outside that?

I doubt there’s a single one. Maybe Sarah Huck, maybe not. She might need some more space than the others. She is a bit more invested, having publicly lied for the man and just as publicly sold her soul. It could take her more time.

I suspect this is the ultimate comment on the Trump trench in which the country finds itself. Everyone that gets out alive and not in cuffs must redeem themselves with the sane world.

It could be worse, they could be so stuck in Stockholm, the syndrome never abates. I guess this is actually the final comment on Trump, his grip isn’t that strong, on anyone, except maybe Stephen Miller.

Check in on those kids, too, once they get whatever’s left. I suspect they will have some redemption already … practiced?

****

Peace, y’all. Enjoy your weekend.

  1. I suspect a lot of them have known all along who and what they have been supporting by working in this administration, and made a cynical calculation they could parlay it into a contract to appear as an “expert” on Fox down the road. The reason they are shitting bricks is because as noted here on this site and others Fox is losing major ad revenue. There are likely huge settlements we haven’t learned about or that are in the works for sexual harrassment and worse and then there’s a movie coming out in December that will at the very least provide enough of a spotlight to ensure lost advertisers don’t come back – there is an election next year after all & there are plenty of other legitimate channels they can buy time on. IOW there’s not much of a pot of “Fox gold” at the end of the rainbow. As for a job with a Congress Critter? Only so many of those to go around & all but the true wack-jobs want people with some actual qualifications & with the wave of retirements AND losses in the GOP last year there’s an experienced talent pool for a GOP side of Congress that could well be further diminished next year. The RNC is likely to have issues as well.

Basically most of them are fucked and for quite a few years.

I’m actually surprised Hucky Boo Boo got a Fox gig. Let’s face it – she’s not at all the “blonde & blue babe” that gets air time over there. Objectively she might be nice looking but the ugliness in her heart radiates out through ever pore. The ugliness on the inside shows and over powers any beauty she might otherwise have. Like I said she’s not what anyone would consider Fox material when it comes to their female on-air “talent.” Maybe her shilling for so long after many of us thought she’d be gone from the WH was due to a deal that was cut for her to keep shielding Trump with her outright lies and bullshit. That’s the only thing I can think of.

However my basic premise remains – an awful lot of the folks you reference are screwed because anyone hoping to be part of a rebuilt GOP after Trump will want nothing to do with them & there were only so many jobs at Fox to begin with. Now there are less. I have no sympathy for any of them, even the ones who talked themselves into believing that once he took the Oath of Office he’d be different than he was in the campaign.

  2. Don’t believe any of these Republicans, these so called former Trump lovers who’ve all of a sudden seen the light and now are bashing the idiot, they’re only trying to save their own ass and sure as shit if somehow that celebrity mobster steals another 4 years, they’ll all come slithering back with more BS.
