Evangelicals Knife Trump, “He Heard But He Didn’t Heed” When Told To Keep His “Mouth Closed”

I never thought Hell would be a lonely place for Donald Trump, not with the company he keeps in this world, but perhaps I was wrong. This is an interesting pattern that has developed. As you know, Donald Trump gave his tepid speech on Tuesday, announcing he was running for POTUS. It was so long and boring that people tried to leave, but the exits were blocked for security purposes.

The next day it was reported that Texas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress, who used to love him some Trump back in the day, would give his blessing only when and if Trump got the GOP nomination. Say whut? This is the same guy who said that the Republicans were of God and the Democrats were the party of Satan.

In 2020, he told pro-Trump evangelist Jim Bakker that Republicans are of God, and the Democrats are doing the work of the Devil.

“I want to be very clear,” Jeffress told Bakker. “To me, this is not about partisan politics. People ask me all the time, ‘Why do you as a pastor get involved in something like this?’ — This is not a war between Republicans and Democrats. It’s not even a war between the left and the right — this is a war between good and evil. This is a war between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan.”

Jeffress was very involved in the War In Heaven then, but not so much now. No, Sir, now he just wants to stick to his knitting and save souls in Texas, and pass the collection plate. Mostly pass the collection plate.

And it get worse. That was yesterday and today James Robison, a one-time spiritual advisor to Trump, along with Robert Jeffress, just denounced the Cult 45 leader. He said he would act, “like a little elementary school child.” Say WHUT?! I may just sit on the floor now, so I don’t fall off the chair and break the computer — or my neck. This happened at a Christian leadership group last night, as reported by the Washington Post:

The televangelist then started criticizing Trump, prompting the crowd to grow quiet.

“Everything you wanted him to hear — every single thing you ever prayed for him to hear — came through these lips right straight into his face,” Robison told the crowd Wednesday, his voice growing lower and louder. “And with the same force you’ve heard me talking to you, I spoke it to him.”

By now, Robison was shouting, practically spitting his words out as he recalled what he said he told Trump.

“ ‘Sir, you act like a little elementary schoolchild and you shoot yourself in the foot every morning you get up and open your mouth! The more you keep your mouth closed, the more successful you’re gonna be!’ ” Robison said.

The crowd remained still. Some lawmakers in the ballroom exchanged glances, appearing unsure of how to respond. Robison joked that those in the audience must be thinking that approach didn’t work very well. A few people chuckled awkwardly.

Robison continued: “It’s time for us to get together and pray and stop trying to destroy each other, and I make that loud and clearly heard to Mr. Trump! We’ve got to quit amputating each other, slicing each other, and come together in supernatural unity that Jesus Christ prayed for!”

The sharp words from Robison, who after the 2016 election called Trump “a supernatural answer to prayer,” came just a day after Trump announced he would run for reelection in 2024. His campaign announcement has been met with a relatively muted response from Republicans and public figures who used to be his most fervent supporters, including from the evangelical church.

Trump cannot win without the evangelical vote. He cannot win with his die hard camp followers, the dead head MAGAs who follow him from rally to rally and he cannot win with QAnon (and those two groups overlap.) He cannot win with his Truth Social following.

Ron DeSantis is going to love this. He sees the handwriting on the pew. Donnie is not the moral leader for these times, but guess what? Ronnie is. I sure hope the Republicans in Georgia hear about this. This should depress turnout on December 6, if anything will. Can’t vote for a guy endorsed by a 2024 candidate that the evangelicals have just kicked to the curb, right?

    • They thought that they could control him because he was telling them he was one of them, and their own conceit made them think if they prayed over him it would work & he would change. Change is not something trump can do, he is who he is, ingrained into a mold formed since he was a child who stomped on other kids & had to be sent to a special school ! That evil narcissistic personality cannot change.

  1. Funny how they didn’t say boo to a goose when he was busy mouthing off about all the shit they didn’t like. Nope. Not a fucking word when he was bad-mouthing P.O.C., spouting misogynist asininity, LBGTQ hatred, and all the other filth that spewed from his pie-hole on an almost hourly basis. No problem at all with anything oozing from that mouth until he cost the fuckers the election.

Oddly enough pastor dumb-ass, I expect the creator of the universe might have been talking and you and your fuck-wad congregants were ignoring him. All the proof of his unfitness for high public office was broadcast every day during TWO fucking elections–from G_d’s lips to your closed ears. Of course logic dictated he belonged nowhere near the w.h. as well but we all know how much you idiots pay attention to things like logic and facts.

Laughing My Fucking Ass Off xtian cretins.
