Suuuuuure he will. From Fortune: “Probably starting next month, in May, my time allocation at DOGE will drop significantly,” Musk said. “I’ll have to continue doing it. I think we have the remainder of the President’s term just to make sure that the waste and fraud that we stopped does not come roaring back, which it’ll do if it has the chance.” *Supposedly* he will now spend the majority of his time with Tesla. The news sent the stock price up a bit. Is it going to stay there? Heh, it will depend on whether or not he actually *does* so. “Tesla investors have been begging Elon Musk to turn his focus back to the electric vehicle maker and execute on his lofty plans for self-driving fleets of taxis, humanoid robots, and unsupervised full-self driving technology. During an earnings call with analysts on Tuesday, Musk finally said he would oblige, and vowed to spend less time on the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and more time at Tesla, where he is the CEO.”
Gee, ya think? Protests and outright vandalism at Tesla locations didn’t tell you anything, ya idiot? Tesla people are not happy with the lack of attention – the attention they have been getting is *very* much the wrong kind. Well, he just had to go insert himself into government and act like he and El Presidente Imbécil were buddies and he was Co-President. You have to know that tRump heard about those comments. I’m surprised he hasn’t kicked Elon to the curb. But on the other hand, Muskrat and DOGE have been getting a lot of attention and might benefit Agent Orange in taking some focus off him so he can sign more stupid Executive Orders under the radar. Of course, I am *still* surprised that he’s letting all that go by. We know our president is an attention hog. (See: Truth Social.)
On the other hand, I’m sure Elon is loving all his power and the input for press conferences, not to mention sitting in conferences with world leaders, secret meetings, and all the things he gets to do behind the scenes. And just like Xitter, he had the ultimate control over people’s lives, firing so, so many federal workers. I’m betting there’s a whole lot we DON’T know and would horrify us if we *did* know. Remember the generators that run on methane to provide power for xAI? Yea, that. I have some help digging around for news about Elon (thanks, K!). He’s definitely done some dubious things I will address at a later time.
This guy is a nut. And it makes him *so* much fun to write about. I try not to do something about him every day, because you folks deserve a break from him, although the only real way to do that is to turn off the news. Ha. I think we’re all news junkies to a certain extent. I start off by looking at 3 different websites, then check my email. Some folks I know have better resource and research abilities than I do, but I’m learning!
One last quote: Musk said he would spend “a day or two per week on government matters for as long as the President would like me to do so, as long as it is useful.” Uh, huh. More like a useful idiot, but I won’t go into that either. Personally, I’d be very happy to see less of him. Just like with Traitor Tot, he is in the news far too much. Go back to Tesla, Muskrat. Go back to Tesla and do what needs to be done, or your business may flame out like a shooting star.
*****And now, please read a very special request from our awesome boss******
Zoomers, we feel guilty asking for cash, but if you can spare a small amount, it will keep us trekking through cyberspace. Many hands make light work, many small contributions add up to enough. And most of all, we thank you for coming here to read. Ursula

I’d feel a lot better if he took his little INCEL punks with him. Hell, by now they’ve probably STOLEN everyone’s personal data and who knows how much classified information Musk can use in cutting deals with foreign governments. The thing is, “going back to Tesla” or “putting most of his focus” isn’t the problem. It’s that EVERY time his name comes up in association with DOGE (think about it, every DOGE news story clearly frames it as “Elon Musk’s” DOGE so his relationship with it is “baked in”) Tesla will take a PR hit. The ONLY thing he can do to start repairing the company’s reputation and start clawing back lost (EV) market share is to literally swear off DOGE AND publicly yank all his minions out of govt. offices. And KEEP himself and them out of the govt.’s business. He shouldn’t set foot in DC again unless it’s to testify in front of Congress on something, AND away from the WH. Forget taking Pennsylvania Ave. from National Airport. He’ll be in a limo and should make sure the drive takes a longer route!
Deep down inside Tesla executives and investors know this. His company is in bigly trouble. Not just here but around the world. He had a big head start on competitors even before he hooked up with Trump they were making progress on catching up. Now he’s gone and handed them market share on a silver platter. I just don’t think it’s in him to do the kind of public Mea Culpa, admitting he was soooooo wrong (which he is) to have teamed up with Trump, and grovel while begging for forgiveness.
I see Tesla being in a shitload of trouble over the long-term.
Damn, Denis, I love your comments! The first couple of sentences, one is hell yes, and the other makes me twitch. I wish he WOULD pull himself and DOGE out of government and the news. As you said, it’s not going to happen. What they might take with them is more worrisome, the more they make the news with divisions fighting back. See Social Security and Treasury, right?
Tesla is doomed unless they kick Muskrat to the curb. And that’s a pity. It has lost so much already. But the Cybertruck is still FUGLY.
