If you want to hear a great delusional rant, one that is making financial experts groan and slap their heads as they reach for the phone to sell stock or listen to screaming stockholders, we have one for you below. Donald is in high defensive mode today. How can we tell? Because when he’s feeling cornered he gets very arrogant and begins to threaten people. And amongst those people are his idol, Vladimir Putin. Oh, yes. He’s going to decide whether to slap Putey with secondary tariffs.

The part I like is “if it is Putin’s fault…” What is “it”? The invasion of Ukraine? That is nobody’s fault but Putin’s. Although we know that Trump loves to do DARVO more than anybody, and he has made it clear in the past that Ukraine is responsible for being invaded — the exact parallel to a woman who’s raped and then she gets victim-shamed and it’s her fault that it happened. Trump has stunned the international community by blaming Ukraine for Putin invading it.
And the bombing threats to Iran are intriguing. Iran potentially already has access to war plans that have been leaked ala SignalGate. This administration leaks like a sieve, so it would not surprise me if that ended up being the case. I’m sure you read the story about Hegseth’s wife, Jennifer, accompanying him into private or sensitive security meetings. I don’t even want to think about what she knows that she’s not supposed to know. Maybe she briefs Pete every morning before he goes to work.
And Donald’s reply about “permanent” tariffs. Nothing in politics is permanent, but he evidently likes to delude himself that whatever he, as emperor, puts into motion will remain, forevermore. Unless you’re Emperor Vespasian, and you built the coliseum in Rome, which has been standing about two thousand years, it doesn’t work that way.
But the bluster and bombast tells you everything that you need to know. Donald is not feeling secure. And when he feels insecure, he becomes vicious, just like a cornered rat. SignalGate is far from over. He’s waiting for it to die down in the press and to some small extent it will, but it won’t go away until it’s resolved.
Trump could resolve it. He could get rid of Waltz — and I personally believe he will — and that would put a cork in the entire matter. Although, in all truth, this matter should be investigated and that will most likely take place. But if Trump fired Waltz then it would be taking responsibility for the matter. It would also be Trump admitting he made a mistake in hiring Waltz.
But what will hang Waltz is that I believe Trump doesn’t trust him. Waltz knows too many journalists and while that’s not the least bit unusual for anybody who is in politics, Trump wants apolitical loyalists around him and he’s worried that Waltz is not one. And who knows? Waltz may be leaking other information about the Trump government, if not to Jeffrey Goldberg then to somebody else.
The main thing that Trump doesn’t understand is the golden rule of politics which is that the party in power will at one point be the party out of power and vice versa. Any effective politician has known this rule and governed him or herself accordingly. Trump ignores it. He believes himself to be the iconoclast, smashing all the rules and in his second term he intends to smash the government.
He’s laid a few good blows on the economy and he may deliver a few more. But let’s see what happens this week. We have a key race in Wisconsin, for the Supreme Court seat in that state. We have two key races in Florida, both of which could flip the seat blue — but even if they don’t, a narrow win by the Republican contender(s) could send a brutal message to the GOP.
Will that message be heeded? Probably not. Trump has no guardrails at this point. He’s older and more out of control. He never had any impulse control and that situation has only exacerbated with age. In fact, his entire tirade to Kristen Welker may have been just that, Trump venting his nervousness about what’s at stake this week and figuring that swaggering and being a tough guy will get him what he needs (while inside he cringes.) Don’t forget. This past week Trump was so worried that he clipped Elise Stefanik’s wings.

Every moment of this child killer’s pampered life is filled with insecurities and fear…hey asswipe…everyday you’re one day closer to death…and no amount of money or faux adulation will save your fat ass. FACT!
Putin angered the reptilian Trump, by denting and deflecting Trump’s desire to win a Nobel Peace award for his thinly disguised transactional and greed efforts in bringing about a sham lopsided peace, not to the benefit of Ukraine.
