No insult intended to the real Blarney Stone, of course. This is a rare treat. I get to write about Donnie’s blather twice! I honestly found the previous and this one rather entertaining, along with some seriousness. Let’s say the *way* he said it was entertaining, but what was behind the previous one was not. So here we are with more of your daily Donnie inanity. With gratitude to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump claimed to have received a “very big present” from the leaders of Iran. During a Tuesday press conference at the White House, Trump was asked who his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and special envoy Steve Witkoff were negotiating with to end the war with Iran. “We killed all their leadership, and then they met to choose new leaders, and we killed all of them,” Trump noted. “And now we have a new group, and we can easily do that, but let’s see how they turn out.”
Okay, what am I missing here? I haven’t seen anything in the news about the son being killed after he became the head of government. And I didn’t think we killed *all* of their leadership, just the head guy and some family members. Now he suddenly has a wait and see attitude? What’s wrong with this picture? Is someone aware of a cease-fire that I don’t know about? What is the deal? It doesn’t make any sense. Blather.
The president claimed that he had accomplished “regime change” in Iran. “This is regime change, right?” he said. “They’re going to make a deal. They did something yesterday that was amazing, actually. They gave us a present. And the present arrived today. It was a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money.” “And I’m not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize,” he added. “And they gave it to us, and they said they were going to give it. So that meant one thing to me. We’re dealing with the right people.”
Oh, no. First thought is “no way in hail did they do anything”. Second was “oh, he’s not going to tell? That’s unusual.” Third? What’s going on in the background that he’s boasting about this supposed present? It still doesn’t make any sense. If Iran had truly given him something, wouldn’t they be just as likely to boast about it? Look at what we did for the weak US? Too damn many questions and I don’t have any answers, just a theory that this is blarney.
Trump said the “present” was not related to Iran’s nuclear capabilities. “It was oil and gas related,” he explained. “And it was a very nice thing they did. But what it showed me is that we’re dealing with the right people. Because, you know, you don’t know, because the leadership was killed. All gone.” “But we’re dealing with a group of people that I think turned out. And the present — the gift they made to us was very significant. And they said they were going to do it, and it happened. And they’re the only ones that could have done it.”
Lies, lies, damn lies. There is NO WAY he wouldn’t have boasted about something this “big”. We all know how Dingdong Donnie is. He loves to brag about things that he supposedly has done. For once, if I’m wrong, well, it will be worth it because we will have proof. But right now, this is all hot air. Let’s just wait and see. I think I didn’t do as well on the humor part. Drat.
