Many a true word spoken in jest. A lot of Donald Trump’s more ridiculous utterances actually sound as ridiculous as they are when spoken by somebody else or in a different context. We’re so used to hearing sheer idiocy out of the man’s mouth, that it isn’t until you can get some distance from it and hear what he says objectively that you really say, “whut?” The folks at Diaper Diplomacy nailed this week’s attempt to fire the Chairman of the Federal Reserve for cause and how idiotic it was.

What I admired was Powell’s matter of fact expose of how Trump was attempting to publicly accuse him of something he did not do. I wonder if Powell would have been so laid back if they had been behind closed doors? After all, somebody thought this scheme up. Somebody typed up the figures on the piece of paper. It definitely wasn’t Trump, he’s got no concept of money. He managed to bankrupt a casino, which is run on the business model that people bring in money, give it to you, and then leave with nothing usually. Maybe a few cocktails. Even food is paid for and goes to profit.
Tim Scott was abysmal. If ever there was a yassah boss, Steppin Fetchit Uncle Tom sellout, it is Tim Scott. Scott is such a sycophant that he makes J.D. Vance look detached and Lindsey Graham look objective.

What I find myself wondering is if Russ Vought or somebody near him gave the figures to Trump and Scott, telling them they were real, and they actually didn’t know what they were pitching to Powell. That would be interesting to know, how much Trump is the puppeteer and how much the puppet, even in Washington. We know who the puppet/puppeteer is with respect to Ukraine, no doubt there. But maybe it goes even deeper than we think.

At last!
The real Trump.
