Let’s look on the positive side, shall we? At least Ron DeSantis didn’t lose his temper at the interviewer. That’s a major improvement right there. But then again, it was softball time at Fox News. Ron Watchers will note that he stayed true to glossing over substantive issues as though they were nothing. That has the effect of insulting peoples’ intelligence, which is the hallmark of the DeSantis campaign. The two of them clearly decided that running for POTUS and FLOTUS was an acting job and that they had what it took to fool the dummies into pushing the voting lever for them. Wrong. Or, at least wrong, if we are to believe DeSantis’ polls.

He accepted Russian help to get elected.
He wanted to pull out of NATO.
He publicly sided with Putin over the U.S. intelligence community.
He called Putin a genius for having launched his war-crime-packed invasion.

I like the reporter who posted this clip and comment above. His name is S.V. Date and he asked Trump a question at the White House once. I don’t remember the question but it was fact saturated, like this comment above. Trump did the same non-responsive dance as DeSantis did here and let’s put it this way, Date is not somebody who got called on a lot when Trump was in office. Access journalism is not his schtick, truth is. And look at this. As they say, there’s a tweet for everything.

Republican strategy for 2024 on abortion is quite simple. They don’t want to talk about their own position because they know it’s unpopular with a big majority of Americans, so they just keep lying about the position of Dems, hoping there are enough stupid people to believe it.

New polls will come out again this week. DeSantis hasn’t moved the needle forward in a very long time and now he’s reportedly alienated moderate voters, and you know MAGA doesn’t like him, because that’s the Trump cult. Not sure what his plans are now to pull out of the nosedive and make his campaign viable, but we keep watching for clues.
