With all of the ongoing hullabaloo over Donald Trump’s criminal hush-money case, something else rather notable happened today, and it’s anyone’s guess as to why. But Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was inexplicably absent from oral arguments at the Supreme Court on Monday, and as MediasTouch reports, there wasn’t even any explanation given. Not only that, but Thomas failed to participate remotely, something the Justices often do when they are sick or can’t be present for other reasons.
Chief Justice John Roberts announced Thomas wouldn’t be present but would be reviewing case briefs and transcripts. No explanation for his absence was offered. Thomas was appointed to the Court in 1991 and at 75 he’s the Court’s longest-serving member.
Weird, right? No one knows why he pulled this disappearing act.
He wound up in the hospital with an infection two years ago, but even so, he was still able to participate in court proceedings remotely.
Of course, Thomas has been in hot water later because he’s been smack in the middle of several controversial SCOTUS rulings, with the most controversial among them being Dobbs v. Jackson, which overturned Roe v. Wade, thus ending federal protection for abortion in the U.S.
Not happy to leave his right-wing prejudices alone, Thomas in his written opinion on Dobbs, maintained that other right-to-privacy cases should be revisited by the SCOTUS, including Lawrence v. Texas, Obergefell v. Hodges, and Griswold v. Connecticut. Cases that all provide federal protection for consensual sex, gay marriage, and contraception, respectively.
Of course, Thomas and his January 6, 2021, insurrection-supporting wife, Ginni Thomas live a luxurious lifestyle, and that has helped spawn a controversy surrounding improper unreported gifts from lobbyists to members of the court, according to ProPublica. Thomas, for instance, declined to report pricey vacations he took that were paid for by Republican donor Harlan Crowe, who’s also a co-founder of the Republican fundraising group Club for Growth.
These vacations constituted an in-kind gift from a lobbyist of the type mandated for reporting by any federal employee, MeidasTouch notes.
Wouldn’t you just love to do something like this? Take a free vacation paid for by the wealthy and of the wealthy? What do you think would happen if you were offered something like this?
Fresh from his vacations in Indonesia, the Adirondacks, and possibly the Greek Islands, Thomas comes home, to rule on key SCOTUS decisions that affect our everyday lives. And mostly not in a good way.
Really, Thomas’s dreams are America’s nightmares. Imagine how many of his fellow Republicans dream of doing things just like this.
Who knows what his disappearing act is about? Thomas just gets away with whatever he wants. Period.
If he’s “AWOL” in a hospital, that’s a Biden nomination? I see no problem with that.

Looking at the pic above I want to know when that traitorous wife of his will be indicted? What, is it because she is a con xtian married to a con xtian judge? Last time I looked such things did not stop people from being arrested after trying to overthrow our government. Did something change that I missed?
Well that’s been my thought. When is anyone going to start prosecuting her? Ginni Thomas is also an insurrectionist so I just have to wonder. Is her husband trying to avoid deciding on the whole immunity thing? This is crazy.
