For those who were otherwise unaware, New Jersey has been hit hard by drone-UAP-UFO sightings for the last few weeks, though last night was heavier by far. It just ripped through X and was all over the news shows this morning.

 

 

 

If you actually go to X and look at various other videos it become pretty clear that something is happening and we aren’t being told. Look at one more video and then we get to Mayorkas’s non–statement:

In my mind, this deserves serious attention as a safety issue to the flying public and those of us who live in red states and would rather not be abducted, all things being equal. And now, with breaking comments is our Director of Homeland Security and he assures us that there’s nothing odd going on at all, everything is great. The homeland is safe. The air above it? You’re on your own. From Meidiaite:

“Recreational drones, commercial drones. That is the reality. And in September of 2023, the Federal Aviation Administration, the FAA, changed the rules so that drones could fly at night. And that may be one of the reasons why now people are seeing more drones than they did before — especially from dawn to dusk. And so that is the reality. But I want to assure the American public that we are on it. We are working in close coordination with state and local authorities.”

If people were only seeing regular drones, you wouldn’t have to address it. They aren’t talking about the Amazon drone. They are talking about the one beaming down and… This is actually a serious topic. We know that the government studies UAPs, we “think” that they have some stashed away, so it is time to tell us because they seem to be “here” and it’d be great if we know what they are. Here, Mayorkas was asked if there was anything we should be concerned about:

“Look, it is our job to be vigilant in the federal government with our state and local partners on behalf of the American public. And we can ensure their safety by reason of that vigilance. We’ve deployed personnel, technology. And if there is any reason for concern, if we identify any foreign involvement or criminal activity, we will communicate with the American public accordingly. Right now, we are not aware of any.”

Criminal activity? Let’s see, abduction would be one part burglary, one part kidnapping, full bodily assault. But what Mayorkas’s statement does is skip right over the “Here and Now” because he’s waving his hands about what happened in New Jersey. And Chris Christie isn’t having it. He can tell something is going on:

“Is this a mass hysteria of some sort?” Host George Stephanopoulos asked Christie.

 Christie “Here’s why, George. Because of answers like the secretary just gave. They’re not answering the questions.

Stephanopoulos: He said they’re they’re monitoring it, they haven’t seen any unusual activity and they need more authority.” said.

 Christie “Let me tell you something. I agree that they need more authority. But … to say this is not unusual activity, it’s just wrong! I’ve lived in New Jersey my whole life. This is the first time that I’ve noticed drones over my house. And I was in a restaurant in Monmouth County on Friday night. Had people at the bar coming up to me and saying, Governor Murphy, won’t tell me anything. The president won’t tell me anything.

I realize that the Biden administration is phoning it in now but Mayorkas could sound somewhat less insulting. People are scared. People are entitled to know answers. The government likes to hold its information tight on this but he could at least act as though he understands why people are concerned. The problem with his statement was that it sort of called out the people as being dumb because they’re just seeing drones… Except they’re not, and he knows it.

I think President Biden should address it. Either it is a really really big deal, or it’s not. So just come out and talk about it. Stop treating people like they’re stupid.

    Aren’t republicons the guys who want to REDUCE regulations?!?

    • Well, yeah, but they have no problem trying to stop women from having personal authority over their own bodies and there’s a batch of them really interested in keeping a check on people’s genitals to ensure they use the “right” bathroom.

      In other words, they want regulations when they want them and don’t want regulations when they don’t want them.

  5. Who has the money, and access to technology, to send these drones into the sky?
    Who would want to make the Biden administration look incompetent?
    Who would want to distract and frighten people?
    Who would want to make Trump look like a hero when Trump “solves” the drone problem after he takes office?
    Think about it.
