Here we go. It’s game 7. Bottom of the 9th. Time to bring in The Closer, get those last three outs, and pop the champagne corks.
And last night in Pittsburgh, the closer named Barack Obama took to the mound to throw his warm up pitches. And damn! did the kid look good! He hasn’t lost a thing off of his fastball, and his stuff was filthy. Which is baseball lingo for wicked good.
Fortunately MSNBC carried his rally speech live last night. About five minutes into it, I turned to Teri and said, Man! I missed this dude! And she nodded her head and replied, So did I. And about five minutes later I looked over and said, They should stop this. He’s having too much fun. And both of those things were true.
Which is part of the magic of Barack Obama. He is the most popular Democratic President since Clinton, arguably all the way back to JFK. And here’s something that most people don’t think about. For the 21-29 crowd, Barack Obama is a household name. They saw him on television, and heard their parents talk about him. And he is the perfect contrast to the obscene Traitor Tot.
And Obama’s not just a one pitch wonder, he’s got the full arsenal. Kamala Harris needs every black male, especially young black males she can get out to the polls. And who better to talk on an even level with black men than the one who broke the racial barrier to become the first African American President? And that’s exactly what he’s doing.
And unlike his former wing man, President Biden in the last months of his presidency, Obama is similarly unchained and unfettered. It had to be bitter wormwood for then President Obama to welcome to the Oval Office and shake the hand of the sleazy scum that questioned his birthright and slandered his wife and children. Well, now it’s time for payback.
And it started last night. In one 20 minute rally speech, Obama called out Traitor tot by name more times than I think he has in the last eight years. And like Harris, he was both sarcastic and condescending in alternates. First he mocked His Lowness for using his campaign as a personal Home Shopping Network, selling the sickest schlock imaginable. Then almost pityingly referring to El Pendejo ex Presidente’s nine year monolog of whining self pity and complaints.
And he also got righteously pissed off, and deservedly so. He ripped into Il Douche like a Wolverine over his pathetic and disgusting misinformation regarding the disaster relief efforts and FEMA funding. At one point, when people started to clap, he turned to the audience and snapped, I’m not looking for applause right now. I’m talking to Republicans, and I want to know when it became OK to prey on the fears and doubts of our most vulnerable citizens to exploit personal gain? We all got a quick inside glimpse of why Putin was so happy to see The Trumpster Fire get in the Oval Office.
And like Kamala Harris at the debate, Obama rammed a nuclear harpoon up Trump’s ego. He sarcastically said, Trump loves to talk about his big, beautiful economy. You know why his economy was so good? Because I gave it to him! After I spent eight years cleaning up the mess of the last Republican administration. The only thing Trump ever did was give out a deficit busting tax cut to his buddies. I can imagine that the Mar-A-Slobo staff is still cleaning the spaghetti off the wall.
And PBO is just getting started. He’s scheduled to have several more rallies in the final 25 days. But if I’m Jamie Harrison at the DNC, I’m offering Obama a 2 bedroom suite and a private Gulfstream with an open flight plan to wherever Obama thinks he can do the most good. He is the kind of political and emotional powerhouse you just can’t buy.
But he’s not alone. Starting next week, the next most popular Democratic President since JFK is hiting the road to spread the good word. Bill Clinton will be making a southern state swing including stops in North Carolina and Georgia. She’s already got Walz, Emhoff, Cassidy Hutchinson and Liz Cheney out on the stump, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Michelle Obama weren’t loosening up her arm in the bullpen. It’s gonna be an enjoyable last 25 days. Don’t touch that dial.

Switching to a basketball analogy…hey NC is the capital of college basketball…whenever the Chicago Bulls had the game close at the end…you could see the desperation on the opposing teams faces as Jordan took the floor. There was no stopping the GOAT…and everyone knew it. Obama is the GOAT on the campaign trail…and everyone knows it. He accomplished something nobody thought possible. When he first won, I was the only white person in a room full of working class black folks. The pandemonium that broke out was inspiring. I’m going to another event this election and, once again, I’ll be the only white person there. Can’t wait.
Wicked good. Obama was deadly good! He’s effectively ruined the backward looking view of Trump, and so, has illuminated the forward the looking view of Harris. That is:
Focussed light on the positive forward looking ambition of Harris, over the dark rearward looking laziness of Trump.
Focussed light on the forward looking wisdom of Harris, over the dark regressive anger of Trump.
Focussed light on the positive and healthy dreams shared by Harris, over the toxic, unsafe, vindictive, dark and sullen ego consuming Trump.
Focussed light on the positivity, soothing and confidence of Harris, over the negativity and jealousies of Trump.
Hope Obama uses info in Woodard book about Gen Milley’s views on 💩-45. (Talk about Milley’s talk with Garland about extremism after November 5th🤦🏻♂️😵💫). Heck hopefully all Harris/walz surrogates put their take.
