BREAKING: McCarthy Goes Down In Flames Again. And Matt Gaetz Shoved The Shiv Personally

This is ridiculous. McCarthy came into the chamber of the House tonight exuding confidence, although he stopped short of telling reporters he had the numbers locked up. But what followed is pure GOP insanity.

McCarthy went in with three different possible scenarios for victory, and they all depended on a balance of some of the remaining six Never Kevin holdouts changing their NO votes to various combinations of McCarthy and PRESENT. And at the start it looked positive.

But suspense came early. One of the reasons the session resumed so late was to allow the missing McCarthy loyalist Ken Buck to get back to Washington to vote. But he was late, and his vote wasn’t recorded. And with that simple move, Sugar Daddy Matt Gaetz knew that he had the whole ball of wax in his hands to play Kingmaker. And so, when his name was called, he kept his mouth shut, ensuring that he would be the deciding vote when his name was called again.

Amd by the time Gartz’s name was called again, it was all in his hands. McCarthy’s options had shrunk to a single up or down vote, Gaetz either voted for McCarthy, or on to round 15. And Gaetz twisted the knife, he voted Present. That didn’t help McCarthy, he needed a YES vote. There was nearly a fistfight on the House floor around Gaetz. It looked to me like the South Korean Parliament.

And it only got worse for McCarthy. A GOPtard put forth a motion to adjourn the House until noon on Monday. But in the last two minutes of the clock, with McCarthy hanging over Gaetzs’s head, and a tie vote, which would fail, Gaetz went to the card swipe and changed his vote from YES to NO. We’re now going to round 15 at 11:30 ET time on a Friday night. Don’t touch that dial.
